Here's how the fair went:
Hung out with friends...saw a friend that moved away...rode one ride...walked around...watched the derby...I have to say that the best part of the night was catching up with my 1st and 4th grade teacher.
I talked to her for like the longest time. It was great to catch up with one another. I haven't saw her since grade school and yet she still remembers me from gradeschool...through all the changes...One of the first things she said to me is that I'm not shy anymore. In 1st grade I was so shy. Then she was saying how her son went to school for Criminal Justice and he's a police officer. Then I told her I have a thing for police officers and then she's like he's been married for 2 years. I told her that hasn't stopped me before. And went on to tell her how my hot police officer is married and has two kids and he's hot. She said she thinks she knows who I'm talking about. She also told me that I need to slow down with that one! Well, we talked about so much more and it was a great conversation. She wants invited to my graduation party and that's cool 'cause I'll invite her!
We talked about so much more but that's just some of it.
My head is spinning because I rode this ride with my friend 3 times in a row before we left. It's almost been an hour since we rode it and I'm still dizzy! We made it spin ourselves and spun it as fast as we could....all three times.

Gayle - Glad you had a good time.

Mary - That sucks but cool that you get to go to a show still. Oh a DAUGHTRY show too! How awesome!

So Lynn and I are supposed to be at the Vans Warped Tour today to work for and see Cinder Road but the generator in their bus blew the other day which meant no power/no air so they had to cancel their OH and MI shows. We were soooooo bummed when we found out yesterday. I cried at work when I found out, it sucked BAD!!! The only good thing if there is a good thing is that we found out before Lynn hopped on the bus to come here to MI. UGH! The guys tried so hard to get the bus fixed so not to miss any shows but you know how that goes... they were waiting on parts blah blah...

Good news for me is that me and Donna, the other MI ST leader, are going to the show in Toronto tomorrow. Nothing like another 4 hour drive instead of a 30 minute drive but oh well! The guys really need help tomorrow so how can I NOT go?? So that will be fun!! Thank God my passport is good until November of this year. I almost sent it in to be renewed, I would have been screwed!! We will get free quest passes in since we are still going to work for the band, but man I wish Lynn could go with me, it is just not the same without her. I still have the goodie bags to make the guys, I got the postcards printed and cut up, and I am debating on making signs...I also have to go to the dollar store for a poncho since it might rain (30% chance). So please keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't rain on me!! hee hee! Also keep your fingers crossed we have no problems crossing the border!!

yes, I am already awake,,,,got home at 2 last night, could NOT fall asleep. But i sure woke up f'in early today! LOL Oh well, I have the weekend.
The review:
The concert was unbelievable. First band (Year long Disaster) were total headbangers, louder than loud and no musical value at all. They stunk. It was mildly entertaining because the lead guitar/vocal alternated between stumbling around half bent over to looking like he was having a violent seizure.
I am sure comedy was not their goal, but we laughed ourselves silly.

The second band was Supergrass, a British band. I was expecting "okay" but they were really great live. Kinda a cross between the B52's and Puddle of Mudd, LOL...a fun sound...happy music as kc calls it. We loved them and spent most of the show watching a very serious guy playing cowbell and tamborine. He was going for a Grammy over there on the side stage and it was hysterical. Had to leave the stage several times to towel off...playing the cowbell. LMAO.

Foo Fighters were amazing. It was so high energy, so loud, so rock and roll. Dave Grohl is so freakin funny, he had us rolling. Hie is such a rocker with that long hair flying. He is manic on the guitar but can take it down so quick and sound completely different. Loves to play with the audience and tease you with just enough of a song you are dying for more...after a long set, they moved to a satellite stage and did an acoustic set that was beautiful and rockin'. HUGE audience sing along for "Hero" that was really cool. Taylor Hawkins is kick A on drums, he blows me away. (roll reversal here, its usually Kc who loves the drummers, LOL) They played for over 2 hours... The OKC show had been cancelled in Jan. and this was the make up show. They went outta of their way to make sure they made up for what we missed then...several time over. If you get a chance to go see them live.....GO. Pay the money, it is SO worth it. I have a whole new respect for them now, and I have loved them for almost 15 years now. GREAT show.
Ok I'm done raving. Oh by the way, I did fine, no dizzies. Took earpugs, but didnt wear them. Cant hear or speak this morning,LOL. Took a million pictures, haven't looked at them yet. Our seats were directly side stage on 2nd level...we sat one section over for the first two bands and that was better. But still close and awesome.

May be around tonight, maybe tomorrow. Hope to have some pics edited then....mwah!!

That's not nice! LOL. I'm going to find someone who makes me happy and spend the rest of my life with them. At this rate, I can just look....beacuse I'm not 18 and everyone I like happens to be over 18 and/or married! hehehehe.

Just work, work, work - that's it! Not exciting at all!

On call this weekend, then again in two weeks. Had to double up a bit since I'm headed to Indy in August!! Yes, as Mary said, I'm going to join them for Indy August 9th!! Got the tickets for my Bday!! Can't freakin wait! 8th row ladies, where are you?

Love the edits to the WAN video! Chris was right, it is better and still fabulous. Hard to watch over and over though without the guys all over it. I know that's the point, but it is our guys! LOL!

It was cool to see some of the local kids skateboarding and rollerblading. I wouldn't dare try things they do. It would be a trip to the ER for me! I can go forward... That's all I can do.

Oh and two things make today all the better while there I saw my HOT police officer. He decided to stop by and see how everything was going. It wouldn't surprise me if he knew any of the kids because I'm sure he had to tell a lot of them to quit skating and destroying other's property. I'm sure all the officers will be glad when the skate park gets built so they don't have to worry as much about the trouble makers.
And then....The one guy, Chip, that ran the skate park demo tour wasn't hard on the eyes. Anything like that always makes a day better.. Oh and he didn't have a ring on his finger.... Yes, I look for those things but they don't matter to me.. My police officer is married and has two kids... Is that stopping me? hehehehehe
