FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN CHRIS AND DAVID COOK?
I don't know if anyone has been following this story. Apparently there was a rumor that Chris Daughtry and David Cook know each other. On the Mike and Juliet talk show, David Cook cleared up that rumor. He said that he did meet Chris at the Grammy's but that's it! He did say that he looked at Chris's audition for AI in order to get some pointers for his audition. It sounded like he admired him. How nice for someone to look up to Chris for pointers!

The reality is that we would not even know who Chris Daughtry is if it had not been for American Idol. (with the acception of our Hunnydusst of course
)
I'm looking forward to his own music, and so far I like what I have heard from his pre-idol stuff. Doesn't mean that I love Daughtry any less. (Or Bon Jovi LOL)
And I am so greatful for the acceptance that respectable rockers have given to Chris since the first day he was voted off the show. Could I list them all? NO! because there have been so many. How many times have we heard that Chris is the real deal when it comes to rock? Too many to count.
In additiion, I think it is great that Chris in return supports bands who have a sound or quality that he likes. Whether it is having them open for Daughtry when they are in town, like with a very little known band in Florida called Dirty University, or with Day of Fire, or by telling us what he is listening to in his blogs.
I guess what I am saying is that if Chris were to feel that David Cook had something special, we will probably hear a collaboration someday in the future. Or maybe at least a shout out to David Cook.
I like David Cook. I admit, I have been hurt by American Idol. That show made my kid cry and I allowed myself to get too attatched and realize how ridiculous I was being about a TV show. I will never get invested in that show again. This year, I couldn't help but watch though. The talent was so much better than last season. Michael Johns and David Cook were the two I was interested in seeing what they could do. David did a great job! He entertained us every week and made it look easy

SO SORRY TO HEAR THAT YOU ARE TIRED OF COOK BUT THE REALITY IS THERE ARE ALOT OF DAUGHTRY FANS THAT LIKE DAVID COOK ALSO. THE ORIGINAL ARTICLE WAS ABOUT CHRIS DAUGHTRY AND SOMEONE LOOKING TO HIM FOR POINTERS. I THINK IT WAS A VERY POSITIVE COMMENT MADE ABOUT CHRIS AND THEREFORE SHOULD BE DISCUSSED HERE.
I AM A HUGE DAUGHTRY FAN AND THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY PROBLEM DISCUSSING ANYONE ELSE ON THIS FORUM. MANY FANS HAVE BROUGHT UP BONJOVI COUNTLESS TIMES AND I DON'T SEE ANY NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT THAT. BY THE WAY, I HAVE BEEN A BONJOVI FAN FOR OVER 20 YEARS. THERE ARE ALWAYS GOING TO BE NEW PEOPLE TO LIKE, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT YOU HAVE TO GIVE UP LIKING DAUGHTRY, TOO.
I'm also really tired of so much Cook talk on a Daughtry site. Can't we keep it to backstage? That is what Off topic is for.
