I almost don't consider Chris as part of the list coz:
1) it goes without saying,
2) it seems like it was lifetimes ago that Chris left the show
3) he's never really been caught up under the shadow of AI - he's always been his own man, doing his own thing.

And ditto again about season's 4&5 being the best ever (sigh!) - I could write a book on them

Have told Gloria about them and you as she's a ManU fan.

Chris way out in front as number One for me.
Well other's from the Idol shows I like, but don't even consider Chris in that list now - he's so apart from it all now and always so far out in front of all the others when he was on the show for me too!

But happens that most of my favourites are from the season that Chris was on and the one before that Bo was in.

Has to be the best and most important audition and film clip of any Idol show!!!!! And still can't believe that Simon didn't see Chris's talent at that time!!!! But did get me watching other Idol videos and there after another performance was Simon saying:
'THANK GOD FOR CHRIS DAUGHTRY'.

Sooo good to look back, not only at the performances but at the little bits of film with them too.

Well, am getting into this and dug out my old recordings of Season 4. Actually recorded a lot of the weekly shows that year.
Really enjoying seeing it all again - and Bo and Vonzell and Constantine in particular!
Forgot how good Constantine was. Wondering what happened to him!!! Still remember his 'Bohemian Rhapsody 'as one of my favourite performances on Idol.

And Anwar - he was one of my favourties that year from the beginning! No-one's mentioned him here!

Carrie did stand out early I can see now.

The other best season of Idol along with 5 what Chris was in.. Nothing's come close to these 2 before or since.

So to my list of favourties which was CHRIS and BO and PHIL and ELLIOT, I add CONSTANTINE and VONZELL and ANWAR.

Yvonne, I would give anything to watch the clip of Chris' audition & of course of Deanna's reaction - that would be priceless. Is there any way you could give me a link? Feel like coming over to your house right now You are soo lucky & I'm happy for you. I agree with you that 2006 & 2005 were the best editions of AI ever! One of the reasons Ace Young is on my list is coz of his friendship with Chris. I admired his singing but the fact that he was one of Chris' best buddies made him extra special in my eyes.

I wonder how I forgot to include Reuben Studdard on my list. Nobody expected him to win in the earlier stages but he shocked even me! So he officially joins my list.

Thanks Debbie for the info on Vonzie! It's great to know she's doing something.

Last time I heard anything about Vonzell is that she was touring in some cities with Anthony Federov.
That was a few months ago, but I never heard where she was touring.

Well, not just contestants, but favourite year!!
2006 has to be the best!!! Even if the final result wasn't.

Last night I watched the final I'd taped again! And enjoyed it all so much.
Loved seeing Chris again singing with Live and clips of Deanna being so emotional at his first audition, then he came out with the yellow paper. And the big man-hug between Ace and Chris.
Laugh every time at Kelly Pickler, always loved her and her personality!

Then the Clay Aitken wanna-be was hillarious, going for a pee mid-audition and then singing on stage and then Clay coming out singing. I couldn't stop laughing.

Was emotional too - watching Elliot and his mum and the award she won for most emotional moment or something like that. And felt so very sad knowing she's since died. Elliot's such a nice guy!

Still wondering why Chris is the only who doesn't sing a song on his own in the group Bacarac performances, when everyone else does. He sings with Ace, but Ace sing on his own too!!!

2nd best year I reckon was 2005 when Carrie won and Bo was runner-up.

Another reason I'm not going is because it's a long way off and would cost a lot to get there, stay, etc. Have to be someone special to do that for - like Daughtry.
Would like to see Jordin if it were closer though!

But am very glad that this country is finally accepting people who have been ln American Idol. Reckon Chris was the start of that! Now his music is played so much, he's proved that people from that show can be very talented and worthy of success and airplay! And so often, better than a lot we hear already!!!

Though we have heard Kelly Clarkson for a while too, took a long while for that to happen!

Apart from Chris, my favourites have been Bo and Phil Stacey and Elliot.

But agree, Vonzel was good, liked her when she was on the show. Haven't heard anything about her since though.

But Jordin Sparks I liked on the show and still do. Love the songs I've heard from her. She even got to number 1 here in NZ and is coming here soon.
The first person from American Idol to do so.
So now when will Chris be coming I wonder!!!!!!
