Madison WI Annex

Ok I loved the show last night. A little sad at first..I almost wanted to cry. I being only 4'11" couldn't see a thing with the crowd in front of me. Then by the second song I had found a spot to stand with a perfect view of Chris and the band. I really wish they would have played longer, but I will live. Ready for the next show and more sold out crowds. I think I am going to invest in some stilts for the next show!!!!

Daughtrybug.....how was the meet & Greet? I want details.

i also have a couple videos from the concert on youtube...just search, daughtry madison, one is of the crowd singing the chorus to "over you"! ENJOY

Back from the Dells...and I am waterlogged with NO VOICE!!!

Trixyt -- it was so nice meeting you! Thank you for coming up to me and introducing yourself! It is so fun to meet all the DO fans in person! I wish we could have hung out with you in line! We certainly had PLENTY of time to kill! And, you know, the meet and greet went GREAT...it was the herd of radio station people that kind of put a damper on it. All in all, I wouldn' t change it for the world. We got a good pic, listened to 2 songs of sound check and had a chance to joke around with the guys!

AND...back to the music...Daughtry was AWESOME as usual. I have to say that I have been to 4 shows, and this was the first time I saw the ENTIRE band! So much fun! Ok, I will post pics too...and a review...probably tomorrow!!!

It was so fun meeting all of you!!!!

It was awesome meeting everyone! I posted my reveiw and some pics Smiling I have to get to loading my pics after this long week! It was worth it though!

AND the best part about VIP... was Chris got to see my CONVICTION tattoo (he learned about it in Louisville on Monday and I did it tuesday showed him on wednesday), and when he did Breakdown at the beginning I got a wink at the beginning... you know .. "convictions and your lies" MY FAVE SONG OF ALL TIME!! Smiling

I think this was my favorite show! Most importantly it was my last with my Illinois Daughtry Official girls as a group! We have traveled all over the midwest and loved every second of it huh ladies? (((hugs)))

We had the greatest time! we drove just two hours from Illinois and it was so worth it. I really thought it was great that the band members came in to get to know the fans...took photos with us and signed cd's..just very personable.
It was nice meeting DBug and Linda Jo...sorry the meet and great was not like you expected, at least you showed the band respect and that shows what a great person & fan you are.
i do have photos to post but I don't know how to. So if someone can give me some assistance, it would be appreciated. traci-taylor@sbcglobal.net Smiling

oh I guess I wasn't standing by you gwennabe83...sorry
I could have sworn one of the gals I was standing by looked like your pic on here.

ANYWAYS...........I was in the back on the floor, then on the left side on the floor, then went to the back on the elevated area by the back bar!
Being short is so frustrating when you are trying see someone like Chris! It's tough to look over a 6ft tall man in a trench coat.

Loved the crowd, loved the sing along, loved the view!

This was my fav for meeting members of the bands, all so nice and for a show that rocked my world. The Annex and accompaning bar was completely cool. The ROOM that the show was in couldn't have been more intimate. I perched on the stairs next to the sound board and am probably guilty of bellowing lyrics at his request.lol. It was fantastic. I got a pic and autograph from Josh Paul which was my ultimate goal and was beaming in the pic. I think I blacked out briefly when he hugged me. The fans were all a great group of people. My 8 hour trip was sooo worth it.
Thank u Daughtry and I'll be there next time wherever u take us.

where Dbug is! Dead, dead to the world! Louisville on Monday, Madison on Wednesday and gearing up for Cedar Rapids on Friday. Hopefully she is resting up and gives us a report before she makes a bee-line for her next show! Lucky Duck.....and Tired Pup Smiling

Unless....she caught a ride on the tour bus and can't get on the laptop!

ok d bug where are you. we cant wait to see how it went for you. please reply we want to hear the juicy stuff. lol. the daughtry minds want to know. ; )

whisper,
you were standing next to me? I was by the pole...were you? ha. I lost my friends, but they made me stay up there since I was so close. We did get out of Madison ok. It was a BLAST!!!

country,
I bought the eve to adam cd too. JUST because I wanted to get a pic with the hot bassist. HAHAHA. How sad am I?

anonymous,
I can email some pics to you! Smiling Daughtry only played for about an hour. It was sad, but it was worth it! I just don't understand why they didn't just play all the songs on the cd. ha. I think there were only 2 they DIDN'T sing, but oh well. It was AMAZING. It was hot, crowded, and had pushy people, BUT it was so worth it!

I don't have any pictures at all. I tried to take some, but my camera didn't work well in that setting. Sad

Hey.....gwennabe83 I think I was standing next to you. I hope you don't think I was rude. The security guard told me to get up there since he saw me searching for a glimpse of the band. I had never been to the Annex before, but I know now if I ever go back to get in line early to get a spot in back where it's elevated so I can actually see.
I hope you got out of downtown madison ok....it can be tricky when your not from around here!

I agree what you said about the crowd singing " Over You " That will go down as one of my best concert moments ever . As i stated in my review the small club really made some of the crowd participation singing sound so cool , it was SO LOUD ! lol Now i know why some of the rock / country preformers go back to theese clubs later when they have hit it big.
Here is my review i posted last night on my site when i got home around 3 am .
I will try and get a few of my pictures posted today before i get swamped with more pix from my concert tonight that im seeing .

Anyone who has read this board since last year knows how much i love Chris Daughtry .
I just got back from seing him in Madison .
Im so wide awake i dont know if i will ever go to bed .
It was a ga show , the club was very small .
Held 200 - 300 people .
The sound was really good thou .
The weather sucked big time , windy cold and raining .
It was great that they have a bar and they let us go in and sit before the show .
I sure messed up thou getting in line when it was time ... we ended up further back that i liked .
Plus they had hard tickets and they let those people in first . I guess i was lucky because by the time the show started i was close to center around the third row .

The first band was ok but i liked the second one better , Eve To Adam , we bought their cd after the show .
Chris's set was great ! First of all his band rocks !
They all play so well together like they have been together for years .
The crowd sang or should i say yelled the words to the songs . It was great . I doubt if you would have heard it so much if you had been in a bigger place .
I doubt Chris will be playing theese small clubs again , so it was nice to see him in this setting .
We stayed after the show and met a few of the guys from the band but left around 1 am .
We figured Chris wouldnt come out and if he would it would be fast anyway .
I caught a drumstick and got it signed after the show and got my picture taken with him .

I took close to 200 pix . I will get them loaded when i get a chance .

Hi, Whisper and Gwennabe83---
Do you have any pictures you'd be willing to email me? I didn't get to go to the show. Sad :( Sad It was sold out by the time I heard about it.. I was soooooo depressed last night, thinking about all of you having fun listening to Daughtry beltin' out that awesome voice of his. Anyway, if you have any pics you'd like to share, can you email them to me at nkuenkel@sbcglobal.net? Thanks!
How long did he play, anyway? I've heard a lot of people say they wish the show was longer....

I drove 4 hours(from Rochester, MN) to see Daughtry and it was AMAZING!!! I was so disappointed they didn't play "What About Now." That is my FAVORITE song by them. Some of the people were SO rude there, but I guess that is what you expect at concerts. ha. That bites that you couldn't see at first, but I am glad you did.

Omg...the BEST part was when he sang "Over You" and involved the crowd. Wow...it was just pure perfection.
