How did you become a fan??
I was just wondering and wanting to hear stories of how we all became Daughtry fans. Was there one song in particular that did "it" for you and you were a fan from then on out?
I'm sure a lot of us out here became fans from watching Chris on "American Idol"....as for myself, i cannot stand that show. I'd heard "It's not Over" on the radio a couple of times and i liked it, but what really did "it" for me was one day i was actually watching "American Idol".....i was only watching it because Jon Bon Jovi was the guest coach and it was "Bon Jovi night" on "AI" and i remember during the commercials (during this one commercial in particular) they were playing Daughtry's "Home" (though i didn't know what the song was at the time, i just knew i loved it). I got online and did a lyric search with what lyrics i knew from the commercial, found out who sang it, got the CD, and that was that!!! so i credit "Home" with making me a Daughtry fan!!!

I was instantly impressed with Chris' voice at the AI audition. But what won me over was his love and devotion for his family. I also am impressed with his song writing and guitar playing. He's not just another great voice - He's the whole package!!!

for me too! When I heard Chris sing at his audition...I was instantly hooked! He was the ONLY reason I watched that season...looking back now, I am so glad he didn't win...he would have been forced to have sing certain music, certain ways and most likely wouldnt have had the chance to showcase his true rock talent!
Lucky for us Chris had the courage to go in front of millions of viewers and show us his raw talent! He went in to AI knowing who he was and used that show as his stepping stone...and never looked back! Knowing that he didnt want to continue his music career as a solo artist he put together what would become the best band of all time!!
As soon as the cd dropped, I went out and bought a copy and it has not left my SUV since then.

When I heard his voice.....I was HOOKED. He was the only reason I watched AI that year. When he was voted off of course I cried....but I knew that wouldn't be the last we heard of him! And then Daughtry was born!!!!!!! I love them!

I was a huge AI fan, lived and breathed it. As soon as I saw Chris' audition I was hooked. What made me a "fan" was how original he was. He did not conform to the songs he sang, he put his style to them. My favorite performance as well as my Husbands (he won't admit it) was "Walk the line". Unlike others, I was glad he left Idol early. America knew he had talant and he was going to go far, he didn't need that title that has jinxed others.
My Husband got me tickets to his concert and we've been hooked ever since. The energy is amazing! But that isn't all. There are a lot of musicians with a great voice and look and they are LOSERS! Chris is a family man with morals and goals and he stays true to himself. He has the whole package and that is why I am a fan. So when my 8 year old son asked if he can have the CD and a poster in his room, I didn't even hesitate.

me and my mom were watching idol auditions and every one who auditioned sucked. so i was really mad.Then i saw Chris walk into the AI audition room. I was like "wow"...hes really cute....so i bet he's gonna sound AMAZING!!
Then he sang....my jaw dropped and..i was addicted!!! lol

In April 20,2007 I was flipping through channels and I saw Vh1 Top 20, I was watching the show and when I saw DAUGHTRY's video IT'S NOT OVER I thought it was awesome, so I went to WalMart and bought the CD, the next week when I was finished listening to the CD I went online and became a DaughtryOfficial member!!!!!!!!
What happened was I first liked Chris when he sang "Wanted Dead or Alive" on Idol...and my initial thoughts were "He's so talented and unique...he could possibly stand out from the others." However, I didn't become a HUGE fan until he did "I Walk the Line". When it came to voting time, I actually ran up my cell phone bill by sending in more than 15 text votes for him. Since that night, my love for Chris grew stronger. And on the night of his elimination, I started bawling my eyes out...I was that shocked! But after all that he'd accomplished on the show, who would've thought that his band would come to fruition? Anyway, I started hearing a few songs from Daughtry's album on the Internet and whatnot. And I'll admit this...it took almost a year for me to finally decide to buy their album. But I'm glad that I did 'cause then I found out that Daughtry were performing in NYC and I knew that I wanted to go! So I went with my college roommate...and I became a full-fledged fan after that whole concert experience!

the band that followed made me fall in love! Cheesy I know, but these guys together are like nothing I have ever seen nor heard. Been to many concerts, but never felt the way I do after I walk out of a DAUGHTRY show...I LIKE IT!
i like family people! And Chris was all that and so much more...i don't care for idol to much anymore..but i do thank them for giving us the chance to get more Daughtry!
I knew Chris had talent and I knew he'd make a cd with a band one day b/c someone was going to see his great potential. When word finally got out that his cd was on its way, I counted the days and heard them on my local radio station. I was hooked in that one moment but I knew from the moment I first heard him sing (yes on his idol audition) he was going to be something and I'd support him regardless. From the moment I heard him do that song my dream was for Chris to make something of himself and look he did so yeah!!!

I have a myspace page and I met a girl called Music Fanatic and she has her myspace dedicated to Daughtry and Nickelback.
When I saw Chris in some pics I wondered: who is that guy?? so I started to search informatin just about him, I didn't have a clue about AI or something like that.
When I saw some videos of AI I thought he was the winner....
Then I found this web page and the first song I heard was Over you and I fell in love with this amazing band!!!!
I went to the cd store praying they have the cd and it was there!!! wow!!! now I can't stop hear DAUGHTRY.......

First, was AI. I usually hate that show, and they only people i like on it were Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and CHRIS DAUGHTRY! I thought i'd watch, and GLAD I DID! As soon as it just started off with Chris at the auditions, my heart melted! i swear, i've never been so obsessed! Love him and Deanna, and Griffin and Hannah! They're all great people. After Chris mentioned AE i went to their website and recognized their music. LOVED IT! i heard it before and loved it, but i had no idea Chris would audition for idol!
The dreadful day led to a great year. I've never been so sad, except for May 10, 2006. THANK GOD DAUGHTRY STARTED! LOVE CHRIS, JP, JOSH, JOEY AND BRIAN!
