I read somewhere that to be eligible for BNA you have to have released your single/album in 2007. Not sure if that is true. They should run the year Nov-Oct instead of Jan-Dec. A lot of new artist release in November due to the increased shopping.

Thanks, I still can't picture the Fiest or the song, I will do some research. I guess because I really only listen to my IPOD and never listen to the radio I haven't heard it, but watch VH1 all the time maybe I flip the channel when she comes on..lol
Taylor Swift I do know who she is and deserved the nomination for sure!!
I'm thrilled for our boys for nabbing the nominations, I was a bit freaked out at first because I couldn't find ANY mention of them on the press release but than I came here!!!

Here's my thoughts on why the guys aren't up for best new artist. Even though techincally they are new, they have the best selling album of 2007, they've been #1 on several song and video charts and they killed at the AMA's. I think they decided it wouldn't be fair to put them up against other new artists because obviously the guys would win. Anyway, to sum up, our boys are too good to be considered a new artist!!

FEIST is the woman who sings that really annoying song that starts out, "1, 2, 3, 4," and then continues w/ "blah, blah, blah" for the rest of it. I think Verizon might've used it in a TV ad a couple months ago and VH 1 plays her video every morning. Every time I hear it I cringe.
And I do like Taylor Swift as a person and I like her songs when I hear them on the radio. But I must say - I've heard her sing live on three shows this year, and honestly, I wasn't all that impressed with her voice. I thought Kelly Pickler easily outperformed her on the CMAs, but what do I know?
And Amy Winehouse? She is extremely talented; however, it makes me so mad that the music industry is glorifying artists like her who makes a friggin' joke out of her own music and then pi$$es off her fans by showing up to concerts late, drunk, high or whatever, and slurring and fogetting her own lyrics, swearing at them and what-not, by doing what she’s doing. It makes me never want to listen to her CD ever again. And then they neglect artists who are just as talented yet give 150% of themselves performing for their fans just about EVERY NIGHT FOR OVER A YEAR, (and thanking them constantly), and carry themselves with such respect.
Okay, now I'm really done...for now
I REALLY, REALLY AM SOOOOOOO EXTREMELY HAPPY FOR THEM (cause really, four Grammy noms are outstanding!!!) and I don't mean to bring everyone's excitement down, but some things like what I said above really bother me so I just had to vent, that's all!

All their hard work has definately paid off for them. They are at the top of the world. I hope they walk away with all 5 awards! Knowing that Daughtry is the best group out there, they should have no competition whatsoever! Way to go guys!

I can't believe some of the nominations they DIDN'T get...like Best New Artist. HELLOOOOOOO!!!!!???? I don't even know who half of the friggin' nominees are! And the song, record and album of the year nominations??? OMG please! That's when I hate the Grammy's! GRRRRRR!!!
