LOS ANGELES (AP) — The People’s Choice Awards says Carrie Underwood will perform at its 35th annual ceremony next month.
The awards show, airing Jan. 7 on CBS, will be hosted by Queen Latifah at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, organizers said Wednesday. The People’s Choice trophies go to fan favorites in TV, movies and music.
Underwood went from “American Idol” winner to a country music star whose hits include “Just a Dream” and “Jesus, Take the Wheel.”

Maybe the rumours started from the very beginning when I think even before Top 24, he said she would win or something like that. Also he not make negative comments about her performance & the one time he did she almost cried. No other contestant would take Simon Cowell's to heart unless....

I didn't think she was much of a performer or h ad much of a personality on AI .I loved Bo Bice that year. BUT, I went to see her in concert in Feb and I am a believer!! She was very entertaining and her voice gave me goose bumps!! My eyes filled with tears at times! Her band is young and fresh too! Oh, her videos are all awesome too and she can act! She is an entertainer now!! IMO!

And I just don't care much for Faith Hill at all, but then again, I think she's "fake nice" and I can't stand that. I am not a basher either cause she does have a nice voice too, but I can't get over the whole "WHAT?!!?" thing when Carrie Underwood won female vocalist. LOL She said she was joking. I still don't think so.
So I can say that Faith Hill way better than CU Anyways, don't like to be bashing her all the time but I never got over the rumours that she & Cowell had an affair & thus she was guaranteed the win. He was able to skew public opinion in her favour, plus the mixup btw. Vonzell's voting no. & Bo's number...lemme shuddup beofre I get carried away. But she's good & I like some of her songs.

If it was for fans only, it would have been titled "Carrie Underwood Fans" I myself am a fan, but then again, I am a HUGE country music fan. I sort of agree with her not being a "entertainer" but that woman's voice is Awe Inspiring and I always appreciate someone that was blessed with that kids of talent.
liked her. Think she wasn't deserving of her win on AI but she has made something of herself so thats a thumbs up. However, think most of her success may be due to the fact that Country music just plain sells & not coz she's outstanding as a performer.

solo tour. Josh Turner opened for her. That was wierd! A big name himself opening for her! We were 8 rows back dead center but only three rows back from the run way thing. The concert was where U of Pittsburgh plays basketball. A lot of big names have concerts there!!
I never get that good of seats for Daughtry.

cool pictures!! i was at her & Keith Urban's "Love, Pain, and the Whole Crazy Carnival Ride" tour. The only other time i'd seen her was at Casino Morongo here in Cabazon, CA., so it was kinda neat to see her having gone from performing at casinos to performing at big concert arenas like the Honda Center of Anaheim!!
