Indonesia is very much into rock music, esp ballad rock... So, bands like Daughtry will be an instant hit. Plus AI is also a very popular show here. So, the band's chemistry for Indonesia is definitely a strong one...
I'm using my very old digicam, Nikon Coolpix E4300. It's already discontinued thing, I'll bet. I set the camera to automatic position but add on double flash... So, I can get a steady image. Or if my hand not too shaky/tired, I'll set up on Museum mode. Hope this info can help.

I had a blast tonight! Standby at the venue around 6.30pm. Met lots of old friends, while waiting from a friend of mine who promised me access to meet n greet. Some friends told me that there will be around 100 ppl for the meet n greet. I felt like, whoa! Bet the session will be going to very quick. Anyway, got an sms that the meet n greet will be at 8!

For Rinz & Mungil, I'm really sorry for not responding your PM cos today I was simply so excited that I completely forgot that I made an open appointment in this website. Sekali lagi, maaf ya. How I got the meet n greet access, well, I have a friend who works in SonyBMG Indonesia which is Daughtry's recording company. I assumed they have some quota for the meet n greet and that friend of mine add me in that quota.

Finally 8 o'clock, me and my friend was led to backstage and waited around 15 min at a tent. I was in group 3 for the meet n greet. Each group consisted 10 people. We were brief by the organizer that no signing and handshake allowed and photo will be taken by the official photographer. Chris looked very tired (perhaps still jetlag from the long trip) but him and friends was kind enough to give us handshake and say hi... He was tickling my back when doing the photo.. Ha ha ha.. that will be one unforgetable moment for me..

After the meet n greet, I just sat on the grass, chat with friends, saved energy cos we were told that the band will be performed around 10... Which means in another next two hours. Oh, I won a door prize while looking for drinks. I got a traffic jam backpack.. Nice!

Then the waiting time is over. I rushed to the middle of the stage. Honestly, I don't know what his opening song cos I can't sing along and I can't get the familiar thing... But that doesn't matter cos I enjoyed every minute of the show. Love them when they play the loudest like Helter Skelter, There and Back Again, Breakdown, What I Want, Crashed, And my highlight for the show is when they sang Feels Like Tonight! LOVE LOVE LOVE... I also love the solo time where Chris sang the new song. Too bad I forgot now the song title! As for the band, I saw a very solid band with amazing skills in every member!

Anyway, I'm soo sleepy now but can help.. I felt like I have to share this... Too bad I forgot to bring my handycam...

Waves to DDiehard! I'm willing to do anything for my favorite band... If Daughtry needs street team in Indonesia, COUNT ME IN!

Just information...This afternoon I bought a Sony Ericsson mobile phone accessory, a speaker to be exact, and I got the Daughtry ticket for 2, so I guess that means we don't have to buy the cell phone to get a ticket. We can get tickets by buying one of the selected accessories too! So it's not like we have to spend at least one million [Rp] to watch Daughtry. I'm definitely attending the concert. See you all there!

Is there any chance that there will be backstage VIP tickets given away for the concert? I wish there will be I would love to meet the band personally =)

my family and me have been a loyal SE user for along time. I bought my first SE mobile over 10years ago, been using different models of SE eversince.

Earlier this month i bought my sister a new SE mobile to replace her old SE mobile as a birthday present. My cousin just 2 days ago bought a SE moile to replace her other brand mobile because i suggested to her to switch to SE, and she has always admired my SE mobile.

why was bali excluded from this promo? not enough SE user here in bali to be included in the promo? the more reason i think for SE to promote SE mobiles thru event like this. My cousin and I are big fan of daughtry since AI. i have been using songs from Daughtry cd as my ringtone eversince the cd came out.

Why only some part of indonesia gets to enjoy this promo. I am very dissapointed with this news, i am thinking to change to other mobile brand. this is not fair. other brand might be more fair deciding who gets to enjoy benefits from using their brand.

Thanks to almost zero PUBLICATIONS - and most importantly, CLEAR INFORMATIONS - about this Daughtry concert, we have missed all the SE exhibitions in Jakarta. So that means we have no choice but to buy the expensive mobiles in SE shops, right? My sister, whose old mobile coincidentally broke (and who also wants to watch the band), is considering to buy SE W350i - the cheapest one from the lot. But when we visited SE shop in Senayan City about 2 days ago, that mobile has not even been available - and the sales person didn't know when it will be in the market. Huh? Time is ticking...and my sister can't afford to buy the other series!

What have we done to deserve these hardships to see Mr. Chris & Co...?

My cousin visited the exhibition @ Paris Van Java, and guess what, the SPG said, we can get the ticket ONLY by purchasing 'music phone' (the cheapest costs almost IDR 1 milliion).
My cousin even asked, what if she buy the IDR 400,00 phone? Would she get the ticket?
And the SPG told her 'no, that's not possible.'

So, unless you can tell me where can I buy a 400,000-phone AND get the ticket, I would like to say thank you very much to sony ericsson Indonesia for throwing my dream away.

I'm a daughtry fan from Jogja, and I have the same question as Di.

I went to 3 different sony ericsson dealer in Jogja and the answer is the same, that we have to buy certain SE mobiles, which prices above IDR 1,000,000 (only 10 type of mobile phones)!!! And then I asked the customer service in Jakarta (answered by Mr. Ryan) that for buyer purchasing mobiles under IDR 1,500,000 will only get sony ericsson merchandise such as pouch.

Please respond us asap! We need the correct information.

And if any people from daughtry's management read this, you should consider doing a real concert, not just doing a promotion. I can assure you that there's a lot of daughtry fans in Indonesia who are willing to buy the ticket instead buying of 'a-must-buy-mobile-that-costs-a lot'.

I have read the official flyer from sony ericsson about the concert. You have stated before that we can buy any of SE mobiles (even just accessories will do) which range from IDR 400,000.

Then, why doesn't the flyer say the same thing? It says that we must buy certain SE mobiles, which prices start from about IDR 1,600,000!! This means that the ticket price is IDR 800,000 each, and that is NOT cheap. Unfortunately I am not that rich, buying a quite pricey new mobile that I don't need to attend a concert - that actually I've been dreaming to see.

So. Whose words I must believe? Which information is true? Please don't misguide us with false informations and hopes!

Traffic Jam Street Party is exclusive for SE users. And this is a promise that we give to all our consumers. In order to ensure exclusivity throughout, yes at entrance we must put a requirements which are:
1. Show ticket voucher
2. Show your SE product/warranty card

It's to avoid any ticket copy done at entrance by those who'd like to take advantage of the event and to prevent non-eligible to enter. We set this as such to ensure the attendees will have secure crowd amongst them. However don't worry consumer is no.1 we will always try to accomodate if one does not bring such requirement to enter

Thanks for your respond. It's too bad I just read your last comment this morning. So from your latest respond, I got an impression that we don't have to buy new handphone to get the accesss. Just buy the accessories of SE - of any kind - even the cheapest one? Shoot, I just bought a SE hp.
For that matter, at the venue later, how do you screen people to enter the venue - who only buy accessorie and handphone. Just by showing off the ticket, I assume?
If that so, I feel there's a double standard treatment then.
Cos - for the sake of our love with the band - me and a friend bought a handphone @ MTA. Unfortunately, the cheapest one has sold out. So, we don't have any choice - at that time - to buy J121i (color india purple), cost us Rp. 475.000,-
We are never a SE fan/user. We're satisfied with our handphone now. So, we bought this handphone, merely just to get the 2 concert tickets. We are planning to put this NEW handphone on auction sale at one local website. But then we are very dissaponted when told by the SPG that at the concert we have to bring the handphone and guarantee card, which means that we have to open the box. We can't auction the handphone as a new one.
And now reading your comment accessories buyers get the ticket also, whoa! Correct me, is SE accessories have a guarentee card, just like a handphone? If not, how to prove it at the entry gate later?
This is why I comment about double standard. And double standard is NOT COOL!
Besides, it's the consumer's right to do what ever he wants to do with the stuff he/she bought, right? If I decide to keep it, sell it or give for a gift is my decision, right? Just simply by showing off the bill of handphone purchase + the tickets is STILL not enough? Don't you think that there should be some TRUST with the customer/consument for this matter? Pls, explain ya.....

I already have a SE cellphone - albeit an old one, but is still working - and am not intending to purchase a new one. Furthermore, if I were to upgrade my phone, I sincerely doubt that it will "simply" cost "somewhere around Rp. 400K," like you implied. (i.e. I now have a 750i, why, for the love of god, would I want to buy a J series that cost 400K? Not only it will be a humiliating downgrade, but it will not meet my requirement to begin with). What are my options in this matter? If I still have the warranty/box etc of the phone I have, will I be able to buy a ticket anyway?

Chris...I've been your fan since AI. When you came out with a band, I was even more excited. I watched your first official concert at the House of Blues in Anaheim....that was just AWESOME!!. Then again on your tour with Bon Jovi at the Honda Center....you guys ROCKED the house...Both times I went with my wife and she was just in awe.

Why am I posting in a Jakarta concert you wonder? Well....I'm originally from Indonesia!! And I can tell you that Indonesian rock fans are awesome and I'm sure you have TONS of fans there. Last year, I went back home to Jakarta and as I was walking pass a hotel's gym, I heard a familiar sound on the TV.....and it was IT'S NOT OVER video clip playing...tell you the truth, I couldn't belive what I was hearing and seeing....I was so excited, I ran back to end of the hall and told my wife about it.....That was in March of 2007....so in about 3 months, your song was already playing HALF AROUND THE WORLD.....in Indonesia!!!

And I wish I could go back and see your concert in my homeland, but the airline tickets in July are just too expensive...
Anyway...have a great time in Jakarta cause I'm sure the fans will!!!

TIP: If you want to drive the fans nuts, you gotta say a few words in Indonesian, like: Apa kabar Jakarta? which means: how are you Jakarta?
