Sorry I think I flagged something

Meant to write this sooner. I had a VIP pass and stood in the front row directly in front of Josh. This was my first Daughtry live experience and I was in heaven being so close. I'd seen Chris on AI and even got a wave from him entering the stage door. One day I want to get a photo with him!!!

The concert was incredible as always. You guys are the best. I hope to see you again live sometime.

I will tell you right now, words cannot even begin to describe to you how amazing this day was for me on June 1st,2007. Take whatever I'm gonna write in here, multiply it by a few millions and there you have the level of how amazing this day was for me. Part of the day DID suck but because that is NO reflection on ANYTHING that ANY of the Daughtry guys did, I will not even be bringing that up in here cuz it has to do with the TRL experience. So I'll start at the beginning. As you know, I got VIP for GMA and I also went to TRL. This was very last minute, I wasn't even planning 100% to go to GMA once I thought about it and realized how many people would be there and thought I'd get trampeled, but on Wednesday (4/30/07), Karen emailed me to inform me I was one of 10 people from DO to be granted VIP access to the show, so of course I wasn't about to turn that down, so I was raring to go! I'm SO glad I did cuz that turned out to be the highlight of my day! I could barely sleep the night before and was up almost every hour or so, and had to be up at 4:30AM to catch a 5:45AM train, which was late as it is but Karen was awesome and worked it out so that I could still get VIP if I was later than 6AM. As soon as we got there, some guy was waiting for us by gates and a bathroom. Then there were 2 women who came up to us after we waited there for a minute. They brought us to the side of the stage where VIP was. Turned out people weren't even seated til about 6:30AM and when I got there it was about 6:45AM so it wasn't really that bad of timing. Once we got there, not even minutes later Samantha Green comes walking over. She's the woman who Karen said to ask for if we ran into problems getting inside. So I started to talk to some ladies who were around where our seats were, and one of them said Joey was up onstage wearing a tie. I thought, ok Joey wearing a tie for GMA? I just couldn't see that but it was kinda like a flashback to his very first VeNuS aS a BoY pictures on Myspace...very fitting and very Joey...and very hott LOL. People were even chanting "VeNuS aS a BoY" in the audience LOL. So, as soon as I spot him, my loud mouth screams "JOEY!" and he waved, posed for a few pics to be cute and funny as always, and would continue to look at me throughout the show. Then the rest of the band, minus JP cuz he wasn't there, went on for soundcheck. Chris saw me, waved and had a big smile quite a few times throughout soundcheck...very nice to see so early in the morning for someone on very little sleep and who isn't much of a morning person (I'm talking about myself) as if the day wasn't exciting enough, he made it start off very well! He and Joey kept looking over at me and smiling, and even Brian was waving a lot. Very odd cuz I've only met each of them once (ok Joey twice in the same day). I even thought maybe Chris heard me scream after putting his ear plugs in cuz he still kept looking over and smiling at me. I was even starting to not look at him and Joey after awhile cuz they kept looking over and I'm like "um ok I don't want them to think I'm sitting there just staring at them" then I got over it cuz hello it was a performance where else am I supposed to look but at them? (Although I'm biased and did look at them 2 more than the others LOL). So we were on the side of the stage that Steely was on, and he came by the edge and was talking to us and he took a picture with me. He was talking about his son and I told him how I was excited to be at his first show back after his son was born even though I didn't get to meet him and he said "well I'm glad I did finally get to meet you". I also joked about how my God son just left not long ago after a visit here from MO, and I miss him so much already and he's not even my own child so I can't imagine how it is being away. I also told him how I got up at 4:30AM to get there that day and I was still late LOL he appreciated that! Then Joey came down kinda behind yet on the side of the stage where I could still see him. So after he was done talking to whoever was over there, I called him over. He's like "Hey baby" and I got a big hug, kiss on the cheek and a picture. So I asked Joey if Chris was gonna come down and he said he wasn't sure if they'd have time to all do that cuz Chris was mic checking and all that at that time but he might. Something along the lines of "I dunno baby he might"...*swoon*. He came down a few times to us. Then I spotted Karen from RCA! Without her my day wouldn't have happened. The second I saw her I go to my nan "THERE is the woman who made it all possible!". So I took a picture with her and was talking to her for a bit. She is just as awesome as she is on the boards here! My nan also told her how nuts I was going cuz after I found out I got VIP is when I found out that the train I'd be taking would get me there late, but like I said earlier she squared all that away for me! So I go "I just talked to Joey so bare with me while I almost die...OMG" and she was laughing and asked if I was having a good time...I hope that was rhetorical LOL. She also introduced me to another woman from DO who I still need to look for on there to add her as a friend, and she asked me if I met the woman Samantha Green, which I did. So during the soundcheck someone screamed something about AI and Chris goes "American Idol?" and I scream really loud "You're better than that Chris, you don't need them!" and he looks over and smiles at me. I kept singing along and dancing and had all the stagehands laughing at me cuz out of the few people in the VIP section I was definitely the craziest LMAO. So we asked one of them if we could get Chris to come down, and he said he'd check with him and see. So he tells us shortly after that he asked him and he's waiting on an answer. During the wait in between he and other guys, including the Daughtry manager were joking with us. Their manager also said Chris is one of the only artists he's come across who really makes it a point to read this website! It really shows how much he cares about us fans and how much he values our opinion on his performances! I think it's so sweet he takes the time to do that. So not 5 minutes later he goes to talk to Chris again once he was done for a few minutes with soundcheck, and he came back and gave us a thumbs up! We got to see Chris say thanks to everyone and tell us he loves us before we were ushered backstage. I thought he'd just come down to where we were on the side of the stage, but no we were allowed BACKSTAGE! Chris didn't want anyone to get jealous or anything so he didn't wanna come out in view and meet us or else he'd feel like doing it for everyone and there was just not enough time for that. So the guy tells us that we have to maybe miss the first song and at that point, I knew I'd be meeting Chris so I didn't care in the slightest that I'd have to miss a song. It ended up that they stayed on stage for the entire set they were doing and wouldn't be coming off til after, so we stayed back the whole time and watched them from the back...not a bad view lemme tell ya LOL. I even told him that the girl next to me in a wheelchair and her sister in law were with me, so they got to come back and meet him with me. I was more than happy to do that for them cuz they were cool. While we were waiting, a skinny blonde woman walks by and goes "so are you guys Daughtry fans?" and it was none other than Diane Sawyer! It took me a second to figure out who she was cuz she's skinnier in person and looks kinda different but she was so nice. I told her "oh it's more than that, I'm a diehard fan" and we took a picture together. While we were back there one of the men in suits was bald and asked if I'd rather have his autograph and a picture with him LOL. I'm like "nah, you're an incredible simulation but the real thing is right up there" LMAO. So Joey comes off the stage and comes over to me and hands me a drum stick right off the bat! He grabs me into a hug and then I asked for another picture and he goes "sorry I'm all sweaty, I need to go take a shower" and I was like "oh yeah? where at?" and he laughed and winked and pulled me closer. The man might have been sweating to high heaven but he smelled so good with whatever cologne it was he was wearing. Then I played stupid and told my nan she didn't hear anything when I made that comment after he said he had to shower...which she didn't hear me ask where but she found out when I told my mom all about my day LMAO. My nan was like "you should have him sign the drumstick" and I know I'm not much of an autograph person, I'd much rather have the memories in pictures, I figured I'd be nice cuz the drumstick itself is kinda warn and ugly LOL. So he goes "I don't have a pen baby" and so he grubbed one from someone, who then walked away so he shrugged and kinda gave an "oh well haha" look LOL. Then he runs back up onstage and came back shortly after with his other drumstick for the other girl in a wheelchair who was with me. The poor girl was in shock from the second I lied and said she was with me to get her back there with us LMAO. So he goes over to my nan and gives her a hug and she goes "you are gorgeous" and I'm like "hey! lay off he's mine" and he winked and laughed. He even whipped out the English accent at one point during my time with him. Then I was trying to figure out when Chris was gonna come down and because Joey was spending time with us I didn't see the swarm of people (family and friends of people who work at RCA and GMA) crowding around and the girls that I brought back with me go "he's right there" and then he slowly made his way out of the crowd and came over to us (we stayed back and out of the way). When he gets over to me, he's all smiles and he pulls me into a hug (memories from last time...wow) and goes "I've met you before...." when he pulled back and I'm like "yes you have" and he smiled and nodded then said "it's good to see you again". I told him I had gotten up at 4:30AM and wasn't even tired and he laughed. I took a quick picture with him and told him I'd see him later at TRL and he was like "that's awesome I'll see you later then!". My nan asked him to take another picture with me but there were so many other people back there and he really wanted to get to everyone and not disappoint or leave anyone without a picture or autograph which I COMPLETELY understood I even told her "no he has to go it's ok". Half the GMA staff and RCA people had their families there to meet the band LOL. So he said he'd see me later and off he went. It was just incredible though to see him with the band he's always wanted and to see just how grateful he is to his fans and it really made me feel good that he looked happy to see me and he remembered me. With all the stalkers out there it's nice to know he apparently really can pick out who the good people are LOL.Then we roamed around the city and met the Naked Cowboy again before TRL...which is a whole other review and story! Karen, if you read this, I will be your slave til the day I die...you ROCK girl!

I just want to thank you guys for having the VIPs selected from your site, I was one of the lucky ones to be right up front, next to the stage! It was GREAT to see you guys (esp. Chris!) so close up! You guys ROCKED as always, and Chris, you look SOOOOOO good! Thanks for a GREAT morning on Friday! I met some of the other VIPS, who are also die hard fans and wonderful people! Keep rockin' Daughtry!!!

This was one of the best experiences i've ever had....The guys sounded awesome, they looked great, they looked like they've been doing this forever....They were so nice, interacting with the crowd, and putting on an amazing show!!! Daughtry has definitely arrived and proved that they deserve all of their successes!!!

I just watched my recording of GMA and the guys were absolutely amazing! Chris' smile at the end of of "Over You" was gorgeous! Joey's background vocals were so on! Vegas was looking good filling in for JP. Didn't really get to see much of Brian but he was adorable as well! Josh Steely, where do I begin? The man was hot! I am so proud that the guys did an amazing job although I didn't expect much less! Can't wait to see them on TRL today! Hopefully all the guys will be able to talk and get interviewed not just Chris!

I actually just joined thanks to the reccomendation from someone i met standing in line wating for him after the show lol. So hey to all you fellow Daughtry lovers! Well I Just got home from the show and it was AWESOME! Gosh can that man be any sexier? lol. It was well worth waking up 3am! My feet are still killing me but that is A-okay! lol Such a great day! :]

My boyfriend thought i was crazy for setting my alarm to 7 am to watch GMA this morning! Considering we went out last night and didnt get home til' about 5 am i only got 2 hours of sleep. But i told him...ill do anything it takes for daughtry! You guys sounded amazing [as always!!] Chris - i love when you smile at the crowd when they sing along, it's the cutest!

I'm so proud of you guys and i can't wait to tune into TRL today!!! More daughtry to come...!!!

i just got back from the show about an hour ago and it was UNBELIEVABLE!!
you guys were amazing and so down to earth. I loved each and everyone of you!!! you sounded great. i would love to catch a whole show, but even though u only performed 3 songs it was still great, and i now can say that i've seen you perform live which is what i was dying for =)
Chris you were exactly how i imagine you would be as far as how u looked and the great personality you have!! U'RE AMAZING!
i wish i could go on without washing my right hand (after u touched it) but i cant so i will just cherish this day in my heart!!

Just watched the show on TV cause' I couldn't make it there (sigh), & of course the guys were amazing! I just can't get enough! I need to get to see another show & get my "DAUGHTRY FIX". One of the best parts of watching them is when Chris smiles because the fans are singing along, it's so sweet.

Devoted Daughtry Fan!

I must admit I have been one of those Nervous Nellies who has worried about Chris' schedule and voice. After watching GMA just now, I am no longer worried. Amazing - Fantastic - Incredible - not enough adjectives to describe how awesome he sounded. Chris looks great and the band rocks. PTL He sang my favorite song on the album - "Over You".

OK! I have my alarm clock set, and i made sure from my mom to wake me up at about 6:55. if i don't wake up, (which is probably likely, i'm prepared) i will have my mom wack me with a pillow intill i get up! I CAN'T MISS IT!!!!!!!

I am so excited about this, I have been planning this for a long time and I am really truly going to get to see you. I was a huge fan and I saw you on the Idol tour and I just thought that you rock. I will be there in New york to see you. I might not get any sleep the night before but you are worth it. Every time that I hear any of youe songs they make me smile. So I found up some details about this concert....
We just need to show up at Bryant Park at 6:30am on Friday June 1. Band rehearsal starts soon after 7am. They rehearse for about 45 min to an hour...and then are live from 8:30am till 9:00am.

Do we just show up in Bryant Park??? How do we actually get there to see Daughtry live? If I am on tv, my boss is going to KILL me! If any NYers know how we can see them live, please tell me, I am just a few subway stops away from GMA!!! Hey Chris, is it possible to do a meet and greet? I am going to get to the show really early...it is my dream to meet you and the band I can't wait to see you in NY again....you guys ROCKED Irving Plaza! Love you Chris!
