Daughtry Project!
As we promised last night, we have a super important project for the most amazing fans out there - YOU!
Daughtry wants your help in making their performance on the American Music Awards as special as possible, and more importantly, they want it to be a tribute to you - the best fans out there.
To help, all you have to do is record your own fan made home videos around the themes of "Home" and Daughtry. Once we get some great videos from you, they will be edited to create a video piece that will air on the big screens behind Daughtry during their AMA performance on November 18!
Here are some 'home-ish' ideas to get you started:
*Military returning home
*Kids coming home from college
*Family around the dinner table
Here are particulars to keep in mind:
*No audio is needed, just visuals. Audio will not be used.
*Keep it clean.
*No brand named products on camera, please.
*Keep your recording to 2 MINUTES OR LESS.
*All videos must be submitted on Mini DV tape or DVD (saved as a data file).
*Print out, read, fill out & sign the PDF form found HERE. Your submitted video MUST include this release form or we will not be able to use your video.
*Every person appearing in your video must complete and submit a form. This means if there are multiple people appearing in your video, your video must be submitted along with MULTIPLE forms - one for each participant.

Send your videos on mini DV tape or DVD, along with your completed and signed release form(s) to the below address for delivery ASAP. We need all videos to arrive by Saturday, November 10, but the sooner the better. It's a rush - but if anyone can do it, it's Daughtry fans.

My problem is a have a regular hi-8 video camera - not the kind that'll work for this.
I also have a digital camera which takes video - however the resolution on it for VIDEO isn't so hot.

Or maybe my husband drumming to Daughtry in the basement as me and the kids are singing to it!

Daughtry is such a HUGE part of our "Home" as I wrote in the last paragraph of my "Why I'm a fan" summary a long time ago.

Oooh I am sooo there! I've actually been wanting to do a little "home" video type thing to the song lately, cause my sister's husband just got home from Iraq, I'm dealing with college, and my parents try to get the family together every weekend!

My brother Charles is in the US Army, He's a Sgt, He is stationed in Iraq, He came home the same day I went to see DAUGHTRY in Albany NY, Charles was here from September 13 to October 2, If he were here right now, I'd love to make a video for DAUGHTRY with my brother Charles, He would love to do this with me, he knows about my huge music background, & that I'm the hugest DAUGHTRY FAN. I honestly wish I could do this. Your music is inspiring to me. It makes me feel like God is talking to me through you guys. I have 2 great ideas for the video. Please feel free to use them.
1. I just went through a divorce about a year ago. One I didn't want. When I hear your song it makes
me just want to drive home (where my ex lives w/ my babies). If your song would only come true
in my life the video would show me going home, walking in the front door, and hugging my ex
and my babies like I had never done before. Your song tell's me not to give up hope. It's just
going to take time.
2. This video would be about me going home to Heaven

This is awesome!. But as what jojo70 mentioned, it'll be the same problem posting from outside of the States. The video may reach you by the time the AMA is over LOL. I'm anticipating for more 'assignment' like this in the future. Anyway wish all the best to those who are working on their videos. I am going to suggest to my friend BOBO Bobby that he submit some of his footage from Chris's homecoming...upon his return home from Idol!!! That would really have a huge impact for the American public to see!

What Squishy and The biker chic say about Bosphotoman's version of "HOME" he made last year at chris's homecoming. It is unbelievable, and totally moves you from deep within. Very personal and touching. Even if you use just some of it, you will get the meaning of what he was doing. Bobby is an incredible video maker, you nor America would be dissappointed.

He still gets incredible comments on these videos, many which include comments like, "the best video I have ever seen".
