as probably KISS. I was in the second row from the stage and at the end Chris threw his towel towards me and some other girls but this guy ended up with it. We however, tried to coax him into giving the towel away but he didn't budge so sad. The whole mega phone singing was sexy!!! " Thats why I say hey man nice shot". Cool.................

This concert was awesome. Daughtry just keeps getting better! Not only did they sound fantastic, they kept it clean. No foul words or hand signs, just great music! Thank you, Daughtry, for that. Can't wait to see them again in November.

Ok, so here goes. I'm getting some serious heat for not having my review posted yet!!! Sorry!!!

My trip to Dallas actually started the week before! My DO pal and now very good friend Gayle messaged me about getting tickets to the show. In jest, she asked me if I wanted to go!! You see, I live in Iowa, so the thought of it really was comical. To her shock and amazement I immediately asked my husband about it and he said "OK, GO!!" So it began! A week of fast and furious planning for my ROAD TRIP to Dallas!!! I was anxious with anticipation. Yes, I had seen DAUGHTRY four times already, but that was with my hubby and twice with the six-year-old in tow. I knew this experience would be different. DAUGHTRY with two of my favorite DO gal pals (Amanda included) and possibly a few others!! I already knew it was gonna be PRICELESS!!

So, Saturday I set out from home around 4:30PM. The trip landed me at Gayle's in Oklahoma around 1:15AM. While it was still light out, we occassionally texted as I drove. Then, once the dark descended, she texted to find my location and scolded me -- "don't text in the dark!!" So, I dialed. I was anxious to talk to her. Finally. We'd been chatting on-line for months, but had never heard each other's voices! She answered, "Hello?" and I immediately said, "Well, if I can't text you, then how am I gonna answer you without calling?" We chuckled and hit it off right away. I was immediately taken in by her sweet Southern drawl!! It was like a warm blanket waiting for me on the other end!!

So, I pulled into Oklahoma in the wee hours of the night. Her house was asleep, except for Chloe! Ornery little cat was obsessed with me! I curled up in the corner of her couch and we talked like old friends for a short while before retiring to bed! I got to sleep in the room of her aspiring artist son, whom I found out the next day is an adorable cutey patootey!! Sleeping that night was near impossible. I was too excited for the next day!

I rose around 8:15 to find Gayle's hubby and son in the living room planning their day without the ladies!! Her son told me that they were going to "PARTAY!!" with his cute Southern drawl. That theme kept reverberating around the home as we ladies prepared to leave! They were cracking me up!

Finally we were on the road, well sort of. First stop Walmart. Needed to get a camera battery because no way was I gonna be without pics and a new fanny pack. I had purchased the mother of all fanny packs in jest and certainly was not wearing that beast! 2 water bottles plus the pack equalled a monstrosity, but it was funny! Gayle picked up some ice for the cooler and we were off. Well, sort of again! Had to stop at Starbucks and get some caffeine and calories into Gayle and her daughter!! Quick glance at Christy's Toy Box - the local adult toy store - THEN we were off!!!! (Ok, seriously, this adult themed place is right next to Starbucks and we had some good laughs about it!!)

The hour and a half trip to Frisco Texas flew by. We were chit chatting so much we didn't even notice the time. Arrrived at Pizza Hut Park well before the gates open and scoped it out. An employee told us the parking fee would be $20 and the best place would be on the East side in about an hour. So off to Wendy's for a bite to eat. Some texting with Amanda found her and her mom in the hotel room and not happy about switching rooms and an overflowing toilet! Ah!!

So at 2PM we settled behind one other car and waited for the parking lot to open. But, it wasn't happening. So, we drove around to another side and a nice old security guard told us the sneaky way to park and didn't charge us the $20 Fee!! Woot Woot!! Day was already grand! DO girls were first in line!

Our parking spot was right in front of the gate, so no need to break out the cooler. We sat down and tried to settle in for our wait. The day was overcast, breezy, humid and in the 80s. Not as bad as we had anticipated, but it didn't take long for our beautiful locks to end up in ponytails! Amanda and her mom, Angie, arrived a short time later. We all hit it off like old friends and proceeded to chat the day away. People didn't really start arriving until around 4:30 or 5, so we had the wait to ourselves for quite awhile. We heard minimal warm-ups and none of it was DAUGHTRY. As usual, there was a little excitement in line with a very Goth Nickelback fan. She seemed to think she was gonna buck the line and get in before the rest of us. Thank you to the lovely Hispanic gal behind me who charmed a Hispanic security guard that took care of that problem!! My feeble attempts to get her moved were completely worthless! Guess I just wasn't cute enough!

Around 5PM we heard the gate would open at 5:30, so we stood up eager with anticipation. This whole "No Digital Cameras" thing really had us worried! It was posted everywhere and NO WAY was I going camera free! So Angie stowed hers in her cleavage and mine went down the front of my pants!! Despite being frisked at the entrance mine was not discovered and turned out they were only scoffing at those with telephoto lenses.

I was first in the gate (except for the Nickelback Fan Club members who were already on the field). I carried my shoes and the contents of my pockets and zoomed down the stairs!! I guess I was moving pretty fast by Gayle and Amanda's reports, but I was in a zone! I had yet to be on the rail!! I still didn't get the rail, but damn close!! Only one guy between me and it, so it was all good! We settled just to the right of center stage. The next hour and a half was agonizing. We were anxious but HOT!! The breeze down there was virtually absent! But, Gayle made good use of that time and told everyone around us that I drove in 10 hours from Iowa for this event. All seemed to be impressed. A very tall man, Josh, and his wife were there to see Puddle of Mudd. Josh spent alot of that wait time singing to the overhead speakers and making up songs about us and our trip to see DAUGHTRY!! Dude was loud and hilarious!! Reminded me alot of my very loud and boisterous husband!! OMG, if he had been there too - we all would've been rolling!

While waiting in the trenches, Sheila finally messaged Amanda that yes she had gotten to the Meet and Greet, but there had been problems (unfortunately that seems to keep happening, but we're are grateful to the DO for giving us the opportunity anyway!). Sheila texted that Puddle of Mudd would be opening as a result of problems also. That made us a little nervous, but we saw Vegas and 2 of the other DAUGHTRY roadies setting up, so knew they must have arrived ok!

Finally, the show started! Puddle of Mudd was first out. Their lead singer is rather easy on the eyes. I only knew their last two songs - "Blurry" and "She F***ing Hates Me" which brought the house down. They rocked it and put on a good set. Yes there was profanity, vulgarity and gesturing (the tongue and the screen), but nothing unexpected for a rock band. Strangely, the lead singer thanked Nickelback and Finger Eleven for this event - then remembered to thank DAUGHTRY later! Yes, clearly, he imbibed something before the set! Oh, and the rude intoxicated cowboy and his girlfriend that barged their way down front during this set were prompted tortured and taunted enough by the fans and security that they finally got the hell out of our space!! Woot Woot!

Then, a changing of the stage and voila, out came Joey's drums!! Woot woot again!! They were coming! Steely, Josh Paul, Brian and Joey, then CHRIS!! The crowd got wild. More so than with the opening band! "Crashed" started us off as usual and WOW! The energy was palpable!! Steely looked amazing, hatless with his hair smoothed back. Brian was adorable and sang every word of every song. He contorted his face as is his manner and kept us entertained. Josh Paul, well what do I say! He was all over the stage. Over by Steely, up on Joey's platform, behind Chris - never knew where I was gonna find him! Joey was in the back and looking fine under his soft head of curls! Too cute for his own good that one! And, last but not least, Chris! Looking mighty fine and mighty buff!! The gym has served him and us well!! OMG!! He's finally perfected when and how to use the megaphone (remember those first few times-Ah!) and his voice was spot on!

The set was flawless and perfect. Chris threw his guitar pic at me and hit the guy in front of me. He and the security guards retrieved it and now it's mine! So, yay me!! They rocked the house hard and the crowd was seriously into it! We were all singing along just about as loud as he was! I never stopped bouncing and my calves are still killing me!! They did sneak in part of "Nutshell" and "Hey man, nice shot" before they completed their set. No "What About Now" and no "All These Lives", but the rest of the album was there and wonderful. It always seems to go by so fast. Before I knew it they were done and I was spent! Dehydrated, exhausted, sweaty and completely satisfied. It's now 3 days later and I'm still high on my DAUGHTRY cloud.

At that point we'd been down in the pit well over 3 hours with nothing to drink. The security guards started pouring water from bottles and gatorade into people's mouths, but missed us completely. It got to be unbearable and Gayle did the right thing and decided to get out. Security and several of the guys around us helped her over the barricade just as the SHOT sounded!! Scared the crap out of all of us!! It was just signalling the start of the Nickelback set, but the timing was terrible!!

I stayed for the first half of Nickelback's set. Chad's voice was just as I had expected and closely mimicked the album. I've enjoyed Nickelback over the years, but never really got into them. So, I was shocked to see that the other band members are really good-looking!! Chad's never done much for me, but the other guys are very nice to look at. So, I directed most of my focus to them!! Their set was flashy and full of pyrotechnics (and profanity). Lots of screens filled the stage and lots of melodrama filled the screens. I recognized much of it from their music videos. Then the t-shirt cannons came out. Nobody I recognized was pulling the trigger, so I decided I was done. There was a big tribute to a deceased guitarist, "Dime Bag?" from the band Pantera and his widow was there wearing a very hoochie lace tube top. She's a big girl with big tatas and probably shouldn't have been wearing that!! I mean TMI, seriously, and OMG!

So, after I was assisted over the barricades, I made my way to the side. I saw many people with the EMTs getting water and even IV fluids. After checking the ground level for Gayle I went upstairs and purchased and downed a bottle of much needed water!!! Then into the restroom to splash and wash my face!! Feeling better, Gayle found me and we watched a little more Nickelback before going out to the parking lot. The concert ended with a flourish of fireworks and the crowd began streaming out.

Amanda, Angie and Kacie met us at the car. Then Sheila and her daughter Tiffanie finally found us. Gayle and I thanked her over and over, then we spent another hour talking while the parking lot thinned out. This venue was not set up such that we could even get close to the buses, so we knew there was no chance of meeting the guys. Plus, Sheila informed us that they flew in for the concert and were liking flying out right away for the next one. Not a problem though - we were ecstatic from our experience! I'll never forget my amazing weekend with a little DAUGHTRY and a lot of great friends!

This was my first DAUGHTRY concert and it was worth the wait. I took my 10yr old who loves Chris. I had warned her ahead of time that she might here some swearing or naughty stuff but just to ignor it and enjoy the music. I knew Chris would be ok but it is a ROCK concert after all. We had standing room only and I had warned her for weeks we would be in the back but as soon as the gates opened she headed right to the stage. We ended up right in front of Brian and JP.
They were as awesome as I expected. Chris is amazing and I have a new respect for the band members.
I had the pleasure of watching some die hard Nickelback fans headbang to DAUGHTRYs whole set and then tell me "hey, these guys are really good." I can't wait to see the band again. Next time I hope to go to a show he is headlining.

I will get my review in here!! I promise, tomorrow!! It was amazing and awesome and tasteful!! I can't say enough about our boys and the DO gals!!! What a weekend!! What a concert!!! WOW!!

COMING SOON: Dallas, Tx. 8/19

Ok... So maybe I'm the only one out there with some different feelings. Yes the ENTIRE concert was awsome. Now this whole thing with the "F-word" it was a Rock concert, I'm sorry for those who were offened by it, but truely what did you expect. And Daughtry him self suggested that everyone listen to both bands. Maybe I feel a little different now because of some things that happened during the meet and greet, I won't get in to that but I can truely say some of my views about Chris have changed, not really with the other band members though. Daughtrey did put on a great show, but Nickelback was awsome as well. Atleast he seemed to enjoy what he was doing and he enjoyed the fans being there. So, he said some bad words, I'm pretty sure that everyone has heard these before and if the children hadn't then they don't need to be at Rock concerts. I'm not sorry if I have offened anyone, that's not my intention, but I'm entiled to how I feel, just like everyone else. Mostly I just wish I could cotact Chris and share some hurt feelings I have for some things that happened. But oh well.

Daughtry on a Sunday night nearly wore this 40-year old single mom out! But, it was SO worth it!! We had a great time!! Thank you, Chris, for NOT using the F-word every 30 seconds, too! I do appreciate that .. as do others, I'm reading on here. You are a true star and a true gentleman. Your band is awesome, too!! YOU GUYS ROCK TREMENDOUSLY!! Can't wait to see you again! Hope it's soon! Take care of yourselves out there on the road!

This was my second time to see Daughtry, and I can't wait until the next. They are absolutely amazing. My daughter was is tears when Chris came out. Chris is such an amazing performer and I want to sincerely thank him for not throwing the "F" bombs out there like the other two groups. There's something to be said for a group that can put on such an amazing performance, without the need to throw out filthy language and talk of marijuana. Daughtry is wonderful, they are a true rock group with class. Amen for Daughtry!!!!!!

Man it was awesome.. i was front row against the rail.. it was my 2nd time to see Daughtry.. they blew the other two bands out of the water!

My husband surprised me with tickets for last nights concert - he knew how much I wanted to see Daughtry...what a great guy. I was so excited. We sat in the seats for Puddle of Mud...we had good seats but then we went down to the "floor" and stood up front just outside the GA area - I had goosebumps when the band came on stage and they started singing...! I love the way Chris and the band interacts with the audience, and no "F" bombs flying all the time....pro's they are !! I can't wait to see them again...when's the next CD coming out ?

Puddle Of Mudd, Daughtry, and Nickelback all put on a fantastic show!!

Daughtry was AMAZING. I love how he would sing through the megaphone. Majorly hot!

There were some VERY RUDE people behind us, that told me to sit down during Daughtry in a not very nice manor. I told them off, and kept on standing for my band.
They weren't going to ruin my Daughtry experience.
My mom and I ended up running them off during Nickelback. haha.

I hope everyone had as much fun as I did. This concert has surpassed any others I have been too. I was constantly rocking out, dancing, or screaming at the top of my lungs during the whole concert. I hardly have a voice!

This was my 2nd time to see Daughtry in concert, and 3rd time to see Chris. I can't wait until Daughtry comes back to American Airlines center!!

Last night's concert can be summed up in one word....AMAZING
I won M&G from my local station and was lucky enough to meet them again.I'm so glad that all the success hasn't gone to their heads. They are the nicest group of guys I have ever met.
I brought my little boys and the band signed the back of their tshirts. Needless to say they are now Daughtry fans for life. And of course they think I'm the coolest mom in the world.
The same can be said for Nickleback, those guys were just as nice.
The concert was amazing. Chris sounded better than the last time...if that's possible.
Can't wait for him to come back to Texas.

Daughtry was absolutely AWESOME last night. I have seen them 3 times and they are ALWAYS GREAT!!!!!!!!!! Chris was ABSOLUTLEY AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!

HE WAS AMAZING! We didn't even get there til 5:30, and we were still up front! It was so awesome! Gosh!!! I was so close... LoL! I cant get over it! There were some VERY disrespectful people there, but I didn't let them ruin my show! And my dad and I were talking about how classy Chris is, because he is the only one out of all 3 bands who wasn't running around on stage throwing the "F bomb" out in every other sentence!!! Way to keep the fans coming! He's just awesome through and through! I'm a little disappointed in the venue staff, too, but I wont get into it on here! Let's just say the concert was one to remember! Can't wait to see him again!!! ♥

They always say no cameras I went to the concert in Glendale and it said no cameras we took one anyway and they did not say anything.. Daughtry Rocked the HOUSE... and for those of you who are wondering Daughtry may play second but you will want to get there early if you have GA seating. Have lots of fun.

I have standing room only tickets also. Section GA 8. I called the park to ask how that works. Do we have to be in that certain section.....is it first come first serve? She didn't know but transfered me to "someone that could help" I got that persons voice mail saying he was on vacation until Monday. Big help right?

The number to the park is 1-214-705-6700. Maybe if you call you will get lucky and get someone usefull.

Also my tickets say no cameras but the park said they are allowed. That one is a tough call,

Professional cameras or equipment are not allowed to be brought in to the Stadium unless user has the appropriate working media credential. Personal photography or video may not be used to reproduce the game for commercial purposes.

For Concerts: Video cameras of any kind are not permitted.

It says video cameras so I'm assuming you can take regular cameras.

Someone had said on here that they didn't allow cameras... And they ALWAYS put that on those tickets, no matter what. LoL! I've been to a LOT of concerts, and I always take my camera, even if it says NO! I have been to Pizza Hut Park before, and I got a lot of good pictures, so I don't know. No one said anything to me about it. Only thing I've ever gotten in trouble for was down in San Antonio a few weeks ago at the American Idol concert for making videos of them performing. Hehe! The guy told me I had to turn it off. But I took pictures, and he said that didn't matter. So I'm not sure about this one. I'm taking mine! =]

Has anybody called to see if cameras are allowed in? I know Daughtry has said that they don't have any preference on the cameras. I'm not totally sure if Nickelback allows cameras into their concerts. I was just on their website and it seems like alot of fans have had luck in getting their cameras into the concert. It says on my ticket that no video or cameras are allowed in. I'm just assuming they are talking about those very hi-tech telephoto cameras. Has anybody contacted Pizza Hut Park about it? I think I'm going to try calling them tomorrow to see if they allow them in. If they don't, I'm sneaking
mine in. =]

As of right now...if you are from Texas you know this isn't always right...but as of right now the high is suppose to be 87 and thunderstorms that day. Please God don't let them be like we had last month...I would be scared they would cancel the show. Dear God did I just say that???? No...I am going to think it will be 87 and cloudy so we can handle the heat. I will sit out in the rain as long as there is no lighting...we are all good.

The will call ticket window will open 2 hours before the show just FYI. Which is BS to me. I ordered my tickets at the preticket sale on June 29th...still haven't rcvd my tickets in the mail. I was on the phone with ticketmaster for over an hour yesterday and was NOT a happy camper. I am sorry I am the nicest person on the phone...but when you are standing between me and seeing Daughtry....you will see a WHOLE differnt side of me. Thank GOD I am bringing someoen with me to hold my place in line now so I can go get my tickets at the will call window. SO mad! But at least I am getting in!

On my friends ticket it says Field Row GA9 Seat 433! I thought it was pretty much first come, first serve! Do they just put that on there to prove that you're down on the floor, and you can really move around wherever you want? I'm gonna be a little angry if I get there and have to get thrown at the very back! But I mean, it says "Standing Room Only" so you can't like MAKE people stand RIGHT there, unless there is a chair, right?! LoL! Now I'm confusing myself!

Would LOVE to meet Daughtry!!! Can I please have VIP passes? Pretty please? Already have four tickets for the concert.

I am getting there by 1:00 just to make sure i get the right lot and am in line early enough to get a great spot. I will drive by earlier then that just to check out the scean. It is going to be on like donkey kong!!!

I am bringing a cooler with me to sit in line with water and sandwichs. A cooler that I can throw away at the door...a CHEAP one. My friend thinks I am nuts he wanted me to pick him up at 5pm...I told him HELL TO THE NO! LOL

I'm so excited!!! I get to see Daughtry and Nickelback!! I really Love Daughtry, of course and I've started listening to Nickelback some too. Loved seeing Daughtry with Bon Jovi in Las Vegas, but I would've liked MORE Daughtry naturally. I'm hoping that Daughtry gets more stage time with this one. Daughtry goes on first, can't wait.

Okay so she may be only considered a "newbie", but TRUST me just because she doesn't post all the time or get on-line and argue with others dosen't mean she not a SUPERFAN. She has followed Chris since Idol and even has some of his old Christian Rock. She's just a normal person sharing her love for Daughtry with other fans. She has gotten 8 tickets and given them to fans who for one reason or another wouldn't have been able to make it. She could have sold them to make money, but she gave them to those less fortunate. She believes all fans should be able to see Daughtry. She has done her own VIP entry, but I want her to have mine. The winner needs to be someone who is a fan and a good heated person, not judged by how many posts they've done. I know Daughtry would have done the same thing in her postion: life is about caring and wanting good things for others. Sgroberts deserves the meet and greet more than I do. Please consider her, this would make her sooo unbelieveably honored and happy. Thanks To All Who Feel The Same Way and Thanks to her for her unselfishness.

6am is way too early, I believe! Are people really gonna be getting there that early? Crap! I don't wanna have a crappy seat!!! GRRR! Please, let's get something going soon!!! I cant wait!

Are we talking 6am or 12pm? I want to hang out with my Daughtry people and get to talk. I am going to the concert alone and would love to have people to talk to. Yes I said I am going alone...didn't want to risk not finding someone to go with me and have the concert sell out so I am going alone.
