Los Angeles, CA - Daughtry announced it will donate a 100 percent of the $10 ticket charge for Sunday's concert at Sommet Center in Nashville to help local residents affected by this spring's deadly flooding. The band also revealed it will be joined onstage during this special show by pop superstar Kelly Clarkson and Three Doors Down singer Brad Arnold.
Daughtry opened special sections of the arena to a $10 (plus service charge, limit eight per person) ticket. The entire $10 ticket price will be donated to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee (www.cfmt.org).
Daughtry is also launching a special giveaway for Sunday's show. Beginning today, the first 500 tickets purchased on Ticketmaster.com will include an invitation to a soundcheck party - hosted by 107.5 FM, The River -- where guests will see and hear the band perform before the concert.
“The decision to transform the show into a benefit for Music City was an easy one,” says singer Chris Daughtry. “I couldn't believe it when I read the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry had been hit by the floods. We hope this concert helps rebuild this great city, and also reminds people all across the country that Nashville still needs our help.”
