You are right the points system has never been fair when it 1st started it wasn't compatable and many fans lost out on points. Glitches with Four square check-ins some people got points others didn't & twitter & FB monthly followships some get some don't! I know people who purchased music and never got their redemption points when they tried to redeem and again got no help. The login in locking people out the whole system sucks! The whole system suck period. The only way to fix what just happened is to erase the activities of the past 5 days so everyone will be where they were but can they even do that?

I mainly focus on the shows so hopefully they give us information on the Troy & Milwaukee presale shows. We are on pins and needles waiting for information on them shows.

Shawna it is not your fault you did nothing wrong you did not know just like all the newbies who got a ton of points. I complained about my account being hacked and the glitch 6 days ago if someone was on here and paid attention to the site then everybody would be where they are but because nobody works here anymore since RCA Ed left we have been left to fend for ourselves.

I agree with Val they need more promotion and better people running things around here period. I have had enough aggravation from this BS to last me a lifetime its sad i used to love coming here and talking to my friends and sharing about the band now not so much! I miss the old days when they band had people that cared about them and their best interest and who cared about the fans. I am tired of venting I said what i had to say and I am sorry it took so long for DO to fix the mess. I doubt they will do anything to correct what happened we were lucky they got rid of the virus/glitch. Lets be thankful for that!

3sillykidsnadog, there haven't been any VIP's available to buy or redeem since 6/13. @Daughtry_news gave a couple away for a few shows with a twitter contest, but that stopped before the 6/22 Des Moines show, and even tho many of us asked if there would be anything for it, we got no responses. So sadly, I would really doubt there will be a VIP available (Except maybe check the local radio station, sometimes they have something going on).

I agree with patba81, there doesn't seem to be anyone running this-- i'm not even sure at all, let alone with people that care about the band, fans, etc. On twitter, seemed like there was someone for a while, but he must be on hiatus or gone, because there are barely any updates. They really need to get some people that are going to help promote the band and some shows that need it (Royalton) and will provide us with onsale information on shows that we "believe" are going to be happening (ie Milwaukee, which has been listed on Ticketmaster since 6/20 with no information from anyone, including Ticketmaster, as to when they will go onlsale).

I am just happy I have my twiiter account back to normal with no help from Daughtry Web Crew.Phelms I had to disconnect and change everything then reconnect and now its working. Its sad if we had someone that actually monitored this site on a daily basis like RCA Ed did this would not have been an issue. My twitter account was hacked 6 days ago and all I got was 1 tweet from Daughtry_news yesterday. I posted on here about the hacking, send many messages on twitter and facebook the real problem is whoever is running this site does not care period. We need people working for Daughtry that car about the band, the fans, and the site.

first of all: yes you are right, I bought a lot of CD´s/Downloads as Gifts for Friends, Family etc. That´s how I got 30,000 points ahead of you. I totally aggree with you in everything you said. A few days ago I also wondered how some people were able to get over a 100,000 points per DAY. So I did the same that you did. I tested how it´s been done and then stopped. I sent an E-Mail to daughtryofficial.site@gmail.com to tell them what´s going on. I am as much disappointed as all the rest.

Fans, I can tell you exactly whats happening with the points and lucky cats. First, just so you all know DO has NOTHING to do with the points system. Its all run by a company based in NYC called Crowdtwist. They dont do anything other than add stuff DO tells them. Like VIP, MLB Fan Cave, etc. All Crowdtwist does is monitor the system via an automated system that looks for inauthentic activity. In this case, the cheaters are using what are called "Bots", which is essentially a hack to beat the weakly securitized system put in place by Crowdtwist. Unfortunately, the automated Crowdtwist system only runs and refreshes once a month. Inauthentic activity that would start today for example, wouldnt get picked up by their system until early August.

Thus, all their lucky cat redemptions will indeed get to them. This is because no one answers the phone at crowdtwist. Everything is done via automation and programmers set them up, etc.

What will happen is in about a month, youll see their names disappear from the leader boards and they will get an automated message telling them their account is temporarily frozen, but for Crowdtwist, temporary means permanently.

Also, regarding something someone asked me about, the VIP redemptions are done for this tour. They stopped on 6/13 and will not be happening for any future shows on this tour.

And to the cheaters, dont be surprised if you get a lawsuit sent to you for using Bots, which are against the law.

ruff don't be discouraged yet. I would think that those lucky cats, or any items, purchased with fraudulent points will not be shipped out to the cheaters.

As I mentioned earlier, hopefully DO bans any member that has taken advantage of this to get extra points and or rewards.
As pointed out by phelms below, those getting the fraudulent points are doing it intentionally.

Glad to see I am not the only one who is angered. I too have worked hard everyday to earn my points honestly and fairly. I hope things will be rectified soon and that those who have taken advantage and cheated, get banned from the site. It is clearly obvious who they are.

If this "glitch" or "hack" is physically being done by a member and not a virus, then they should be stripped of their points/rewards and sent down the road.

To actively try and deceive the band, DO, and fellow members themselves is bottom of the barrel in my opinion.

The FAQs states:

"Progress is closely monitored and suspicious activity is easily detected; cheating or gaming will not be tolerated. Beating the system by creating a workaround, writing a script or creating multiple accounts to earn points for friend referrals is NOT allowed. In order to ensure a fun and fair experience for everyone, any accounts suspected of cheating will lead to forfeiture of acquired points and possible suspension or termination of your account."

I hope DO follows through, there has been enough cheating on here the last couple of days that other people might just give up on the site.

I wasn't going to put in my 2 cents on this subject of "hacking", but now that I see people who acquired many thousands of points were able to "buy" some of the rewards that I'm sure a lot of us were hoping to get, I have to say something. First of all, like all of you, I don't know how this has happened, but I feel like they should not be allowed to have those rewards because their point total is totally erroneous. I hope DO will make this right soon. Somehow, I escaped being hacked and I don't have any more points than I should have.

Just checked rewards page; some pic sets, lucky cat, drum heads, and drum sticks are all sold out!

I guess just a handful got hacked.Hmmm, but there is no cap on points earned for tweets and facebook shares during this hack(I would call it a glitch).I checked and she is correct.Her twitter account is sending mass amounts of Daughtry news... she is also racking up the points for the tweets.

What is going on with this site. How are people about to get 300,000 pts. in a week? People have come from way behind and now hold the top scoring spots!!! What's up????

I was not getting my twitter followship points so I tried to reconnect my twitter and now I have some virus and I can't tweet because I am in twitter jail. It keeps tweeting mass amounts and it has become unbearable for my friends with whom many have unfollowed until the glitch is repaired. I have been able to tweet a few tweets here and there and made Daughtry news aware of the problem on twitter and posted the glitch on here.

Bummed. I just hit the 80,000 mark legitimately and the Lucky Cats are sold out this morning. The "GLITCH" is still happening today. points for Twitter and Facebook shares continue to rack up for some users. It seems to be an automated issue.

If I can't redeem my points for VIP anymore, a Lucky Cat would have been a NICE prize.

I totally agree with meshelie. DO should fix the points glitch, allowing people to cheat and then reset everyone to where it was before the glitch. Maybe they should even penalize the cheaters.

Dont worry DO true fans. Crowd twist has an automated system that only refreshes monthly. These accounts will be flagged since they have exceeded the max value without legit store purchases and then youll see these accounts disappear in about a month. But they will get their lucky cats unfortunately.

PS, i told you all there was going to be no more VIPs after 6/13.

I see there are some people getting a lot of points on DO, but I think its far from "Hacking". They are just clicking like on pages over and over.

Maybe it is IT's gift for the holiday weekend here in the US.
