The Good:
I loved the show. It was amazing and totally worth the loooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggggggg wait! I would have loved to have had better seats, but dude, being in the same room was plenty enough for me.
The energy was amazing. The crowd got into so much. There was jumping, screaming, arms in the air, singing along....it was one GIANORMOUS party! So much fun.
For the most part the people were so much to fun to be around. A few drunks and they were humorous to watch. I was amazed at how many "ladies" couldn't walk straight.....on a week night no less!
As the show progressed, the energy of the band increased. I loved the part where Chris came out on the middle stage, sat with the guitar, and played like it was just him and I (okay an a few thousand others, but they didn't count lol).
The pyrotechnics were AWESOME! My dad does pyrotechnics and he would have been thrilled to see this. I could feel the heat from the fire bombs (were they done with creamer?) to my far back seats, can't imagine what it felt like right on stage!
Loved when we all got to sing with you. My secret fantasy is to sing with you, not gonna happen, I have horrid stage fright! So I got to sing with you and those few other thousand people who don't count
.
The Bad:
I didn't like the blue light. That thing made Chris look like he had blue hair all night long. Bothered the holy heck outta me. He still looked hot though (blush).
There was some "dead" time between songs. I would have loved for the band members to interact with the crowd. You know, tell us stories from the road, what the song meant to you when you wrote it/played it, etc. I was really looking for that "connection" right from the get go....it did come out later.
The venue was so small. On the one hand everyone got to see everything due to the lack of space, on the other, we were almost on top of each other all night. We ended up folding up our chairs so as to not knock the people upside the head in front of us. I did a couple of times anyway, but she was a good sport....sorry lady!
Overall:
Again loved the show. Huge Daughtry fan! Chris you could have sang the ABC's, the phone book, or the Bible and I would have sat in rapture. You have amazing talent, you guys have an amazing chemistry together. Keep up the good work and I hope to see you come by again.
My goal for next time is better tickets and the VIP experience. I reached my goal this time just by being there, so I'm a goal getter......watch out. They call me the Daughtry stalker at work!
Love you guys, take care on the road, have fun and see you in the midwest again....maybe when its warmer and not rainy!

By down time I just meant no chatter. You know...talking, joking, messing with the crowd. It was just kinda "there". The band was playing intros to the next song, or just random stuff. I just wanted the connection, ya know? Does that make sense?
I loved your review - my first concert and VIP is tomorrow night in Madison WI - hope my experience will light up my life as yours did!!!
