Hi Ladies
Yvonne asked me to drop by and say hi to yáll. When I got to the forum I didn't know which thread to post in so I started my own one..lol.
Got a postcard from Yvonne during the week. She asked me to say a special Hi to Kaz and Rita!! She was in Cornwall and very much enjoying being back in her "homeland" . She's feeling quite patriotic which has taken her by surprise.
Hope we all get to hear some more news that Daughtry will be touring internationally real soon.

that whenever i do listen to the radio - there's always so much talk and adverts - i just wanna get on and listen to some music!
But i know what you mean about hearing a fave act on the radio - it gives it a bit more of a buzz than on a Cd.
As for 'No surprise' - well initially i when i believed that The X Factor was playing WAN as a bit of support for Daughtry - i too thought that it would only be a matter of time before 'Its No Surprise' would follow. But now we have learnt that WAN was only being played to help lay the path for the return of WL - i suppose that won't now be the case.
The sales of Daughtry's WAN must only have been due to the playing of it originally on The X Factor - and then people going out there to find who recorded it - as opposed to a push by the record company.
So i suppose we just have to sit and wait once more. Although i suppose the fact that Daughtry are coming over to support Nickelback on their tour, shows they have some intention of trying to break the UK market at some point, otherwise, Why Bother??

Can understand that Rita, as the radio in England was not worth listening to. Too much talk for most of what I heard and then didn't like the music they played either - apart from The Script, and 2 plays of Daughtry!I Was very surprised and disappointed!
Here the music played is much better and the station I listen to plays all the music I like best of all anyway, including heaps of Daughtry!
And I listen because I want to hear Daughtry again - even though I can play it any time I like, it's different hearing it on the radio.
So what happened to Daughtry's 'No Surprise' in England? Is it released? Was surprised to hear an older song on the radio, I must admit, and not the latest!

that so seldom listens to the radio as i prefer to make my own choice as to what music i should hear!
But Yvonne, i'm pleased that at least you managed to get to hear The Script when in the Uk if no one else!....And i still think its funny that you have heard 'What About Now' be played on Uk radio by Daughtry more times than me!
And it was such a shame that the time you chose to revisit your original homeland after so many yrs away - is the time that i decide to leave the country!

Sure did Teresa - and you know what, the music I heard most on the radio there that I knew was The Scipt!! Was also the best music that I heard there, not impressed with anything else - apart from the 2 plays of WAN by Daughtry! No wonder people tell me they don't listen to the radio much in the UK!!!!
And Kaz - did get nearer to you than Cornwall - spend a few days in Huntingdon with my old school friend!
But so little time, no where enough to do or see all I wanted or would have liked to!
Shame you were away Rita when I was in Kent!

I'm back!!!!!
Am still very tired and jet-lagged and trying to get back to normal things. First time I've sat in front of a computer in 7 1/2 week, it's strange - even harder as my son had updated it and it's all different!!!!!! He means well, but makes it even harder for someone who's brain cells seeem to be left behind around the world!!!
Have a lot of catching up to do at home, hence am copying this same message around a few places, sorry if you read it elsewhere!!!
Had the most amazing time, out and about every single day for the whole trip! It's a wonder how we both kept going all that time.
Had some emotional highs and lows often! Got very emotional about so much of England and seeing places and being back there.
Vancouver we absolutely loved and want to go back.
Britain is so old and so much unchanged - for centuries! And so picturesque. Stirring and tranquil, and beautiful, but also crazy and packed in places - especially around and in London!!!!
Meeting old friends and family was sooo good after all these 29 years. Had laughs and so many good times, but at the end also so very hard to say goodbye - knowing it's probably the last time we'd see each other and be together!
Then on to Germany where seeing Anja from here, and her beautiful new baby was a real special part of the trip!
Finally the craziness of San Francisco and Fishermans Wharf which was beautiful and so much to see. Great end!
Loved all our experiences and being everywhere, but missed home and the quietness and space of New Zealand, our dogs and family so much too. New Zealand really is where we belong and coming back was good.
So will take a bit of time to catch up around this site and with everyone properly.
But this is to let you know I will - just give me time!!!!

And i do believe that Yvonne has bought the Daughtry boys some Uk fortune!!! In that they have reached No 11 in the Uk Charts!! So that must be down to her presence!
Looking forward to seeing Yvonne back on the Daughtry boards though!
