My son's friend, Sam Bish, has been diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a very agressive cancer. Sam should have started 3rd grade this week, instead he was recovering from his first round of chemo. He has cancer in one knee, his lungs, and a spot on his spine. A prayer request for him has traveled so fast that it's now on snopes.com. His feeling good now, but will have 3 rounds of chemo in September. The doctor said he would lose his hair starting 7-10 days after chemo. We saw him last night (approx day 7) and he hadn't started losing any. Sam really likes Chris Daughtry. So his Mom had an inspiration and told Sam that Chris was bald and he was still cool. Last night, with a big smile, Sam told me he was going to be like Chris. I asked him if he could sing but Sam said 'no'. At least I got a big grin when he said it.

Sorry if I posted to the wrong part of the forums. Just wanted people to know that thinking about Chris is making Sam a little happier.
