TO SET IT STRAIGHT FROM VERY UPSET
Just to let everyone know i did enjoy the show very much. and to let sparta know, that XM officals are the ones who told me that the vip's were employers. and you must have seen one of the many other people that was complaining (there was quite a few of them) not me because i'm not sure when gatorade turned into beer because gatorade is what was in my hand. the way your review is written it sounds like you sparta is the one who made the comment about having money to be a vip.
Lucky enough to win the VIP section at Indy 500 show through XM
I cannot believe there is such negative feedback from VERY UPSET who attended the Indy 500 show...first of all...AWESOME show! Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou XM radio for sponsoring this FREE concert for everyone to enjoy. I know it took a lot of money to bring Daughtry to Indy 500 and because of you, XM, we all got to see him for free!!! Let me also point out that none of the 20 VIPs worked for XM as VERY UPSET indicated. We all won the special seating "through" XM who sponsored this "free" concert. Only VERY UPSET who was holding a huge beer and smoking a cigarette got mad. No one around her was upset. Have another drink VERY UPSET and enjoy the concert and quit wasting your time being negative on Chris Daughtry's website...post positive comments only please. It's a shame your pictures didn't turn out...mine are all AWESOME.
Chris, I voted for you every week for 2 straight hours and contrary to what VERY UPSET said, I know all the lyrics to every one of your songs and so did everyone around me in the XM section. I guarantee I'm a bigger fan than VERY UPSET. Thanks to you, Chris, I'm also getting front row seats to your concert in Minnesota! See you in July!!!
Indy 500 concert
The concert was GREAT considering that he was sick. I was the first time I've seen him in concert and i got pretty close to the stage. I hope that he feels better really soon!!
Great show
Even though Chris was a bit under the weather, he and the band sounded phenomenal. It was great seeing him in person and being in the front row. I'm sure we'll never get that chance again, so it was worth being there since 6:00 in the morning when the gates opened. Can't wait to see you guys at Verizon in Noblesville. Rock on!!
So awesome to see Chris for the first time!
My husband and I went to the concert and it was so incredible to see Chris for the first time! He told the crowd he had a cold but he still sounded great! Wow I wonder how he sounds when he feels 100%! We stood on the right side of the stage for the show and when he was leaving we headed over to the gate. Chris went by my husband and slapped his hand. My husband said Nice set and Chris said thanks. Even exhausted he was a nice guy! We hope to see him in concert soon! I have been a huge fan since he was first on AI and I bought his album right away! It is the only album where I don't skip songs on it, my hubby and I love them all! Thanks Chris for coming to the 500!
Glad most of you had a good time!
If I had the chance, I'd tell the guys "thank you" for even coming yesterday. I mean that. It obviously took a lot for them to be there, and for that I'd say "thanks."
Can't wait to see them in July! Hope the guys will get some rest between now and then and come back stronger than ever.
indy 500 was awsome
u could tell he didnt feel his best , the bands were great and he did say he was up early i loved it , i waited all morning in my lil corner in the front row , then i trew my hat at the stage he picked it up an dsigned it , u can tell he is a real person just like me and u , just with a voice to die for .... love ur music and cant wait to see u again, my husbands in the airforce and the chief gave us seat tickets for the race , i wasnt gonna go with him till i found out about the concert ..... still to me it was well worth it ......... xoxoxox

Indy 500
I was able to attend the race yesterday. I went over to see the concert but noticed the crowd was huge so I went back to my seat I thought they were going to show the concert on the tvs. But what I heard I felt so bad for Chris you could tell he felt bad. But I know for a fact Chris stayed for the whole race cause I had garage passes and was hanging around after the race and ran into Chris and the band I asked how he was doing and he said he felt bad and he enjoyed the race he was nice enough to take a picture with him.
VERY UPSET
i attended the show yesterday and i got to admit i'm very upset, not with daughtry but with "XM SATELITE" who sponsered the show. so i arrived at the stage at 8:45 three hours early to get a good spot & i did, front left side of the stage. and let me tell you it was raining all morning. i was so excited to get this spot because i stood in line for over an hour before tickets went on sell for the verizon concert here in july i was third in line & still got tickets way back in the back. so i knew this would be my only chance to see chris up close.so it's ten minutes before the show & XM bring in 30 "VIP" people who all work for "XM" and they put them all right in front of me. when i asked xm what was going on they said if it wasnt for these "XM" vip's daughtry wouldnt be there. when the crowd started to get upset one of the vip's told us that if we had thousands of dollars we could be VIP's. it was a real slap in the face after waitng for three hours in the rain to see the back of these peoples heads, and let me add none of them were singing along. and to top it all off when i went to put my pictures in my computer it went haywire and erased all my pictures. but i was still thrilled seeing chris he is the only person i have bought concert tickets for in 17 years.
Yes, it was a struggle but still a good show
All the other guys did a great job performing.
Chris was struggling but most of us understand he wasnt feeling well and he didnt have much time to sleep between the Vegas show and Indy!
I think when he is not feeling well he should say something to the crowd right before performing because there were several people around me that was hearing him for the first time.....I know where in the H have these people been----NOT knowing Daughtry!!!! But, I had to tell the one that his voice was giving him some trouble and it was not his best performance. The band looked great and played well!!!!
Just saw the performance.....
It was pretty rough, but I'm not worried. It was very clear he's not feeling well. He sure seemed appreciative and the crowd appreciated him being there.
All the talk about either Chris or RCA putting their foot down so his voice can rest boils down to this: we, as fans, can't do a single thing to make that happen.
Chris knows what his voice can take--whether or not he is careful about pushing it too far is up to him--and RCA would not push him too far either. That's just insane. They have too much invested. As with any fan, I hope Chris makes the best decisions to get rest, but am not going to lie awake at night fretting about it. Chris has a long career ahead of him. He wouldn't do anything to jeopardize that.
Indy 500
I am a huge fan, but today's show at the Indy 500 wasn't Chris's best performance. He needs time off. But I still love him and can't wait to see him on GMA Friday morning.
Chris Indy Interview
Chris was interviewed by the race announcers and he said he had caught Ellen's cold from being on her show this week and after 3 concerts in a row, he was not able to give 100%. His voice sounded good and that is a blessing and he gets to go home for one day.
Blocker,
We all care about Chris and share your concern. Try not to worry too much, hon.

Didn't see any local coverage....
I started watching at around 9:30 til they cut out at 1 and did not see anything. Can't wait to see the tape-delayed broadcast later tonight! That's a bummer Chris sounded "strained." The guys probably do need some more days off here and there.
Indy Performance
The tour schedule that Daughtry is on is totally brutal and I have been worried about his voice. It has to take a toll. The Indy performance was ragged - the sound system was not good but it was obvious he was struggling. I wish he would slow down the pace and let his voice recover - his fans adore him and we are not going anywhere -fans for life. I am not being critical of Chris - I am just very concerned because I care.
Great exposure for our guys!!
What a crowd! Perfect intro. for Chris & the guys.
They could have kept the cameras on Chris a bit more, but great energy.
Not sure Chris could hear very well.
ALMOST made up for missing MB HOB show Friday night due to the schedule change. Wish I could have been there to see & hear the entire show.
Could hear Chris singing in the background when coverage started too.
Would love to hear "Home" today but guess INO was it for TV.
Great job guys! Looked amazing.
Anyone local get more DAUGHTRY coverage on TV??
Watch ABC at NOON Eastern Time today (Sunday)
Supposed to be broadcast live, at least one performance for DAUGHTRY.
Then Patrick Dempsey (Dr. McDreamy) drives the pace car to start the race.
Gotta love that racin'!
(This is not NASCAR)
is the concert going to be on tv?

Rain tomorrow...
I won't be able to go to the track tomorrow, but for all of you going, I sure hope the rain threat stays minimal so the guys can rock out!
For people like me, who will be listening to the race--and later catching the tape-delayed broadcast-- don't give up hope just yet! The Indy Star said that portions of the "mini-concert" will most likely air on ABC!!
Locals should tune into the pre-race coverage tomorrow morning, because the news stations often do red carpet interviews with celebs as they arrive. They will broadcast from inside the track until I believe 12:30, so there is a chance they could show parts of it live for us. After that they are blocked out.
Can't wait to hear you sing in person!
My husband & I are going to the Indy 500 to see you (and the race), and the July 20 concert at Verizon! Can't wait to hear you sing in person because I'm wearing out your CD!!
Race or Rock ?????
When I heard you were playing the Coke stage at Indy I was......conflicted .....I don't know what will be better the race or you guys .......YOU GUYS !!!!!!!!!! Now if it was the Brickyard 400......????
AGH!
The first year in ages that I'm not making the trip to Indy and now I find out that Daughtry will be there. I'm totally bummed. I'm going to try to have my husband get pictures at Indy!
I will see them tomorrow night at the 9:30 Club, so that will have to do for now.
Love me some Daughtry.

Huge Freakin' Fan
I love Daughtry!!! I missed you guys last time you were in Indy; Birdie is a 21+ venue and I'm only 19. I was so upset when I found out a friend of my could have gotten me tickets if only I was old enough. This time I actually have a chance to see ya'll. I would DIE to be your Indy VIP. You guys are amazing and even though I love the first CD, I cannot wait until the next one. You guys are sooo talented!!! The band is amazing!!!!!
Love You Guys,
Steffi
YOUR BIGGEST FAN EVER
My 5 1/2 year old, Preston, is a HUGE fan, and HUGE isn't expressing the extent of it . My husband and I wanted to surprise our little guy with tickets for your show in Madison, WI with no success. We will try again for your Indiana or Illinois show-it is a distance but again it would be a HUGE deal for him. He and my 2 year old daughter sing all of your songs-Preston knows all the words, and my little girls bops her head and screams "BLOW IT AWAY, BLOW IT AWAY." I get the biggest kick out of both of them. Just so you know, no one compares to you accept for Preston (himself) and Elvis. So my goal is to take Preston to see you LIVE. I am not going to lie VIP would be awesome-but at this point getting the chance to purchase any tickets would be phenomonal. ALWAYS SOLD-OUT. Look at you....and where you are at. WE ARE SO POUD OF YOU..keep it up CHRIS.
LOVE your music-you are amazing.... Stay real
