I sat down to do my December budget and made sure to include a check to the ONE campaign to make poverty history in honor of Chris Daughtry's birthday gift...in the spirit of giving this holiday season, why not give up a little something like your favorite fancy coffee, a movie ticket or brown bag your lunch for a few days then take that money and donate to this cause?? Jill, Linda and Val could not have made this easier for ALL of us to be included in such an appropriate group effort to give Chris a heartfelt birthday gift. I can not get the image of Chris in that hut in Africa when he was helping that woman try to stand up out of my head...he looked shocked and devastated for her...so many have nothing to eat, no possessions, they need medicine.
If watching and listening to WHAT ABOUT NOW doesn't bring you to tears and make you realize you have the power to help facilitate profound change on this planet with the pooling together of even the smallest donation, it will never start to happen.
Please join our DAUGHTRY sisters, who are asking nothing for themselves to surpass last year's donated amount--you will feel absolutely "fan"tastic afterwards.

This has been such a privilege to be a part of for the past 2 years! It makes me happy to do it and I thank you for the perfect idea to celebrate Chris' birthday and all the joy he and this incredible band have given to us. He can buy material things, but ONE needs support from people like us...they can't do it on their own.

I look at my own children and think of those that the ONE Campaign is working so hard to help. It's time for everyone to stand up and take notice and do something about it. My family is blessed beyond compare for being fortunate enough to have been born on this side of the globe. THANK YOU for opening my eyes and making me want to find out more...to do more.

We're doing a great job everyone, but we have a long way to go to reach that goal. Please donate...tell your friends...your family. We can help so many people.

Yes, I believe international donors have to pay via credit card with paypal and paypal converts your international funds to US $. Paypal is very simple to use, but let me know if you have other questions.

to show Chris how much we care about a cause that is near and dear to his heart., and many of ours also. I'm sure it will make him very happy to know that because of how much we love and admire him, wonderful things are being done in his honor.

Nothing signed by the band? No VIP opportunity or tickets to a show? Not even a new cd?

No...you get nothing...other than perhaps the opportunity to give these children one day to wake up and really have something to smile about.

Maybe these kids can get a few more precious days with their mom who desperately needs medicine to survive.

I can't believe we are only at $1500. I mean it is a great start and I know times are tight, believe me, but only 400 people have to donate $25 for this goal to be reached. $25! This is our way to show and thank Chris for everything he has given us fans. The girls have made it so easy to donate, we just need to come through for Chris like he has for us. I donated a couple months ago, but will get another round in before the deadline! Come on Daughtry fans, let's getting donating! Let's see if we can get Daughtry in the news with this great birthday gift!

Yes, considering our competitiveness is a great point. As our triad partner Jill says, it is close to $1500. To be exact we have donated $1,528.17. That means we have exactly $8471,83 to raise to reach our $10,000 goal.

FOR THE SAKE OF ONE AND CHRIS WE CAN DO THIS! ...and even exceed it with the support of RCA.

so that means, $8500.00 to go We can do this! I have sent over 300 private messages to everyone that signs on to DO... if each of those people donated at least $25 we would be over $7500.00 already. The closer it gets to Christmas, the tougher it will be, so why not donate now while it's on your mind? What struck me most about the What About Now video of the guys in Uganda was the spirit of the people. Somehow, despite the conditions they are living in, they still manage to smile. Let's do something amazing and show them we do care and want to help change their world

I've noticed that we "Daughtry" fans are VERY competitive. We want our guys to be on top. I was thinking if you posted updates of donations recieved so far & what you need to reach the goal, people may be more motivated to donate. Just watching how everyone voted like crazy for the album of the millennium title, and the AMA"S & really anything that we are called upon to do. If everyone on this website donated $25 even. I don't know how many members there actually are. It should be an easy thing to raise $10,000.00 for our man! And not to mention it goes to a really amazing cause. ( actually 2 ) ; )

I really want to donate, I LOVE Chris so very much. He go's out of his way to help people that need it most, that's what I love most about him not just about his music. Chris has always been a very loving passionate and sweet man who is always doing things for people in need. I think it's very sweet that 3 very caring and passionate devoted DAUGHTRY fans could do something so very nice for Chris on his birthday December 26th. I hope we can raise a lot of money for Chris because he so truly deserves all of this. Chris we LOVE you so very much man this is for you buddy. KEEP ROCKIN!!
