A chat thread for all the Daughtry Lifers. This is my favorite band. There is something special about them that I have not seen in another artist/group and I plan to be a fan for life.
There are many fans on this site who know one another, some who don't, but everyone is welcome to post. Fans that have been here from the start, fans who have just started posting here more, and new fans.

PATTY~I am so disappointed I won't get to see Lisa and Sheila today.
You will definitely hit your 100 show mark this year. 
SHANNA~I was very happy with the top 3 on DWTS. I like all 3 so will be happy with whoever wins. I read somewhere that Maks and Peta are dating now. Seems like maybe Derek and Maria are an item? But he seems to date every partner. lol I agree about DH. I'm glad you were able to see the doc. How is your family doing?

OMG 6 days from right now I'll be seeing Daughtry!! I cannot wait, it'll be so much fun and its excatly what I need. I've been waiting for such a long time and really looking forward to it.
Patty yes you are the busy bee. I imagine its quite difficult to stay on top of any show when you have so much going on with your life. How are things in your world anyway? How is the weather and all that? When is school out?
Terri well you should be one happy camper since your 3 favorites made it to the finals on DWTS. I knew it was going to be touch and when they announced Mark and Katherine as safe I knew Maria and Derek were going home immediately. I know you didn't like her but I thought they did well together and I am a little sad I won't be seeing them in the finals b/c Derek is just so clever, brilliant, and creative when it comes to the anything goes dance. I hope Donald wins and if not than Katherine. I know you like William but I don't for some reason and I don't want him to win the whole thing. But I think it'll be fun anyway.
Are you watching The Bachelorette? I watched it last night and it doesn't seem bad. Those guys sure are unhapy with Kalon tho after him coming on the helicopter esp the dude with dark hair. I didn't watch The Bachelorette so nothing about Emily but she seems nice so we'll see.
I went back to doctor today for a follow up and it went well. he says we need to concentrate on just the itching so gave me more with 3 refills which will be nice. My skin was doing so much better til 3 weeks after. I also got an injection of cortizone so that should help too and we got samples for my face.
Hopefuly I'll be doing well and not have to go back for another appointment.

I am with you i enjoyed the voice it was so good this season and they rerun it on E so i can keep up with it. As for DWTS I am just too wiped to watch!

Terri I really enjoyed the finale of DH but its so sad that its now over.
I too cried several times during it and also enjoyed seeing Lynette and Tom get back together. That was one of the best parts. It all ended well and had me laughing throughout even tho it pained me a lot also. I loved when Karen confessed. When she overheard Carlos and Gaby talking I was afraid she was going to give the real story. that was like my favorite sitcom so its really hard, just as hard as it was when Friends aired its last show.
And great job to your son for making the playoffs for spring ball. Too bad about having to miss the concert tho but you're right family should come first, thats most important. Hopefully Daughtry will be playing near you again soon enough so you'll eventually catch them. My show is one week away!!
Did you and your family do anything nice for Mother's Day? Our plans were cancelled so I worked, ran a few errands and relaxed.
Patty I am not as into DWTS as I used to be. I still enjoy it and all but I am just like whatever. I think I generally prefer The Voice over anything really. I used to be like that, not wanting to continue to watch something once my favorite person got the boot.
Yesterday was the first day my car was extra hot and the steering wheel and seatbelt burned my hand. It's in the early 100's now and is supposed to stay all week. We are above normal and I'd say summer has truly officially begun this way.
Well hope you girls are both well. I had a really great day at work today. Its so much better, it truly is but I am still looking for a job in my field and hoping for the best. Take care and talk to you soon!!

SHANNA~What did you think of the DH finale? I cried several times during it. Thought they wrapped it up well. I was SO happy that Lynette and Tom ended up together.
I liked how they showed many of them in the future. And I think the part with Karen testifying was awesome and hilarious!! But also sad with her and Roy. I noticed a few shows I like got cancelled for the fall. But most of my shows will be back. Hope you had a great weekend!
PATTY~I have to wait and go to another show. Hopefully something this summer.
My son is playing spring football and it was supposed to end about a week ago, but he made playoffs which are Wed and Thurs night. He's the QB so I can't ask him to miss it. Hubby got a promotion and won't be able to be there, so I need to be. I've never missed them playing here but family first always. 
Disappointed to miss it. How are things with you? Miss ya!

I like the voice better than A. I. and they had some great talent on there will watch again as for DWTS stopped watching after Gavin got the boot. I am bad like that.

I don't have a problem with Maria or any of the stars left on DWTS. I think they're all talented. I used to not care for William once but he can dance I'll give him that. I think the semi-finals and finale will be good for sure. I was not at all surprised that Roshen and Melissa were voted off. As for DH yea that was the impression I felt also about how Tom miscontrued what he was seeing taking place. It was b/c he was now taking his boss's words seriously about her being into another guy. I hope they make it in the end or I will scream, seriously. 
And I agree about Susan, she needs to start fresh and get away from the house and memories that make her think of Mike b/c it's really affecting her, tho I miss him too. I can't believe its series finale time. How is that even possible? Time is going by fast for everything.
I am doing much better but throat still hurts a bit. It was my right side that hurt but now its my left side and I don't know what is going on. I am coughing a bit here and there but doing well. Hot and cold stuff feels really nice on my throat tho so hopefully it'll go away on its own soon.
Well going to try and get some stuff done around here and relax a little esp I have things coming up soon enough and may be tired with my work schedule and all. I also need to run out and get a couple last minute Mothers Day things. Have a great weekend girls and I'll talk to you soon.

SHANNA~On DWTS I am happy my top 3 are still there. William, Katharine and Donald. I don't care for Maria but happy with the top 4. On The Voice, I was hoping Tony would win. I thought Christina was really rude all season and she was really hard on Tony. I was wondering if Tony liked Britney when they were Mousekateers and she was still holding a grudge.
lol I thought all 4 were talented though and figured it would be close. Happy for Jermaine as well. I sorta thought it would be Tony or Juliet winning though. It was a good season. Seems like it flew by. On DH, they just HAVE to let Tom and Lynette end up together. It was so sad when Tom went by the house and got the wrong impression through the window. I think it's a fitting ending for Susan to move away with her daughter and MJ. Curious how things will turn out for Gaby and Bre. Hope you're feeling better!! How is everything else?

Been busy here. My brother with the heart failure is getting remarried soon, busy with my son's football, his tournament starts this upcoming week so going to be busy with that, school is almost out and it seems there is something going on almost every day. lol But miss chatting with you guys!!! Patty well if its a new years goal than I hope you break it even more esp if you've never been successful at keeping one before.
is this going to be something that you're going to have to continue to break? haha that would be fun tho. and yes juliet did a great job and should be proud to have come in 2nd. i feel like this season there was an overwhelming amt of talent on the show that was so good and way better than the first season so its all close. i also feel several of them are going to have records and be fine, when she makes an album do u think u will buy it?

I think the finale was really good and they all deserved it but was a bit disappointed in the final results. i have a feeling blake is going to be just like adam now if not worst when it comes to his team winning and trying to make that a point to contestants in the future lol
are you doing anything for mothers day? we're having this family dinner thing at my sisters for a mexican buffet type thing, im excited but not sure if i'll be able to stick around for cards, just depends on how exhausted i am and if i can get a decent nap
Well going to head to bed shortly. its going to be insane for me coming up. Saturday I have to close and won't get up til 10 and than have to turn right around and be there at 5 in the morning....craziness but all next week I either work at 5 or I work at 730. its going to be tough getting a new bed time and all but i think it'll eventually catch up to me and i'll get used to it.

Shanna I am trying to break a 100 shows I am up to 86 shows. I have 1 this month and 3 next month & 6 summer shows planned if all goes well I should break my record and finally achieve my new Year's goal! It will be the 1st time ever!! LOL! Juliet didn't win but she came in 2nd. not too shabby!
Patty wow 17 shows, I knew you went to a lot the first leg but wasn't sure how many. You're going to have major withdrawals esp since you're going to less of them this time around. I think it's hard enough by only going to one show I can't imagine how 17 shows would feel without a fix. Haha.
You're not the only one out there who does that but I am sure you're in to the top 10 for sure huh? thats great tho you know the Daughtry men love it.
Terri how are you doing? Can't wait to talk to you again. not sure what is going to happen on DWTS and The Voice tonight. 2 being elminated on DWTS and the Voice winner. I am kind of nervous and am hoping for hte best....anyway hope you're on your way to having a great week and that the kids and hubby and are doing well also.

Shanna glad you are doing better!! That is good news!! I usually focus on shows not vip depending where I am traveling too is if I decide to do vip. I have vip for Oregon & Tulsa that is it for this leg only 5 shows unlike 1st leg which was 17 shows. I so need an intervention.

I am doing much better finally and a doctor is unnecessary. If it would have continued to be worse my mom would have made me go also. No worries.
Wow sounds like you are just cruising along and will def make you goal. I know you can find 5 more shows to add to what you already have planned for second lag and this summer. How often do you do VIP with everything?
Terri wow you have been busy. What great news about your son in the football tournament and being the quarterback. That is awesome. Glad he's doing well. Hope you enjoyed Six flags. I have never been to a Six Flags before tho I'd love to go. And ur little quartro cinco celebration made me smile.
I don't know what I had, I am just glad its finally going away and I can't miss anymore work. I have 3 points now and once I make it to 6 I lose my job but I guess a point goes away every 6 months but usually I don't have to call in this often...
Oh and how can I forget what did you think of last nights DH? I just watched it a few hrs ago. I laughed a lot and was happy at certain points than really excited and than at the end they crushed me and I was like NOOOOO. And than I got sad and had tears in my eyes knowing that Sunday is the series finale. Thank God its 2 hrs but it's going to be so hard. I love this show its always been one of my favs and I've followed it since the beginning. It's so funny b/c my friend Joseph hes crazy obsessed with it too and we had no idea. He gave me all his opinions on the matter a week ago tho I don't really with all of it esp his hatred towards Susan.
I am happy to report that I am doing better. The only thing wrong with me now is a bad cough and thats to be expected. The aches and pains are gone, no more fevers, and today I totally felt like myself agian rockin' out to some tunes in my car. I was worried work was going to wear me down since I had to be there at 6 am and work the truck but it actually turned out to be very helpful, enjoyable, and a bit of a workout too. I really like it better than what I was doing before and hope I will like the other stuff that comes along with this position. And the crew is great. And I thought I'd more tired but not but going to rest anyway so I don't get too exhausted. I think something got on my face tho b/c its itched a bit and I have a few bumps. I am wondering if it was from my mom b/c I was fine til I got home and she was out pulling weeds earlier today so I don't know....

Have had a busy weekend here. My son is in a football tournament and is QB right now. He is doing a great job.
It's been SUPER hot though!! Yesterday we went to Six Flags. Friday we celebrated quatro de Mayo instead of cinco. HAHA It was both fun and funny!!! lol

Shanna you need to get to a doctor that does not sound good at all do you have medical with your job or maybe a clinic. You got me worried. You better get your booty to one quick or I might have to come up there & carry you to a doctor.
As for 2nd leg I am taking it easy only 4 shows 1 this month and 3 next month. Which will bring me to the 90 mark. Then gotta get 10 more shows in ! I have 3 booked for the summer AC, Troy, and Bethleham, there is a Met's Daughtry show a a Pirates daughty show that will bring me to 95. I will just need 5 more to make my goal.
Hope the boys do a summer tour need to reach my goal.LL

Patty that is fantastic you've enjoyed the first leg of the tour and glad the last 3 were so amazing. How many do you have signed up for the second leg so far? Hope work is going well even though you've been swamped. Its great to see you here again. I hope life is well.
I am sick. I have been getting these bad headaches for several days but didnt think anything of it. I woke up Wed morning with a slight sore throat but was hoping it would go away. It didn't. I have to call in sick to work yesterday and today I left early so only got 8 hrs of work in this week which totally sux. And my hours are already cut from here on out so I am need to get to feeling better to find something better or a second job. I swear I had7 fevers in the course of 12 hrs and a few more throughout Thursday. I am getting better and no fevers in 24 hrs now but throat still kills me and it is hard to talk or speak up and my head just pounds every time I get up or move. I have 2 days to rest so I hope I can recouperate nicely by Monday. You know its bad when its 90 something degrees outside and you're weather fleece pants, a long sleeved shirt, socks, and with sheet and blanket over you with no fan or air on and are freezing. I am glad that part is over but I serioulsy can't take this anymore.
Well need to go lie down and try to get some sleep. Take care ladies, have a nice weekend.

I have been real busy work has been swamped! My last 3 shows were amazing this band gets better everytime I see them. NYC they were on fire. They tore the house down. I cannot believe 1st leg is done already it went so fast had an amazing time with this tour I am excited for round 2.

DH is making me so sad. I can't believe its almost over. One more episode til the big series finale. All I have to say is some of it is going to make me sad and other parts of it is going to make me upset perhaps. LOL what movie did you watch last night?
I actually got part of AR last night. Decided to watch it and wow was not thinking Rachel and Brandon would still be on there. But I got a sense of the people you were talking about.
3 more weeks for me til I have my Daughtry concert. I am overjoyed and can hardly wait for it!! Everyone laughs at me b/c I have a countdown.
Today is my sisters birthday. We celebrated early yesterday. I actually stayed the night there Saturday so her and her hubby could spend time together. I took my nephew shopping to help me pick out some presents for her so that was fun. He was good for the most part but his "bad" side came out quickly as soon as they walked in door.
I am doing pretty well. Finally got a good nights sleep after being so exhausted for so long but man my back hurts so I must have done something to it in my sleep. I think thats about it.

SHANNA~Sorta disappointed to see the Kentucky guys go on AR. They definitely had great attitudes throughout the race. I still like the Border Agents too. Looks like the military couple might win, they win almost every week. I don't care for Jordan and am tired of her and Rachel's drama on there. I have to watch DH today. We watched a movie last night instead. Had a great time with my parents here.
On The Voice, I like several. I like Tony, Katrina, and Jamar the most.

Terri yeah I agree on The Voice and Tony. I loved what he did with that song, it was genius and I had a feeling it would save him by America. I was happy with all 4 saves last night. I am not still sure who I want to win the whole thing. They are all good but still trying to figure out who has The Voice for me. What are your thoughts?

Yay!! My nephew is happy too. He never watched til this last season and is really into it so it just makes me laugh. He's seen parts of it while I lived there tho.
Well just hanging out. I am sooo tired right now. Had a rough night and can't sleep very well. Think girl issues are partly to blame but also a huge part of it is sometimes when I feel this exhausted it makes it even more difficult. At least I don't work and don't have to work again til tomorrow at 130 tho it is a long shift so we'll see.

Terri to be honest I have not watched AR this season so not sure what is going on. I didn't make it a priority this time around....sorry I can't share my thoughts with you, maybe next season.
I am not sure when DH is coming back. I keep looking and still see nothing. I guess maybe it won't be on again til May or something...I hope it ends on a good note also. I am kind of nervous. I am also sad its going to be over. Now I need some other shows to watch that aren't reality. LOL
I had a nice time at the lake. We didn't stay on the water too long but it was relaxing. It got pretty hot tho esp when we stopped briefly a couple times. And than we stayed for a barbeque which was good. I swear the car trip there once we get into the mountain area there is all these twists and turns and it makes me feel so sick. i hate that part but coming home doesn't make me feel bad at all.
Right now I am trying to get stuff done around here and also attempting to find work and things. I am spending time alone today but going to enjoy it. My mom went to my brothers for a few days last night to help out. Tomorrow i work than watching Dalton so won't be home til late but at least I have WEd off.

I wound up working longer than scheduled but worked hrs I stayed on floor so it really wasn't so bad and it was nice to do something different and learn something. We don't have big plans this weekend. My son has a football game on Sunday and we were going to go to Six Flags but not sure we can fit it in this weekend. Tomorrow night I have a "date" with hubby.

Yea Terri I'll pm it to you again. My mom says we have to buy a new phone tho probably tonite or tomorrow morning b/c the battery is acting funny and she has not been able to get calls lately so hopefully we can get that resolved esp so I can talk to friends and if people call me for job interviews.
Yesterday I went to the dr for my skin. He took scrapings from my hand and is going to look into what it might be but I was given treatment for the infection and the itching so hopefully it helps. I seem to be doing a bit better so I hope it helps and I hope we can find out hte real problem and get it treated and not have to worry anymore.
Do you girls have anything exciting planned for the weekend? I work for 4 short hrs Saturday but thats about it. I am sure I am going to look for jobs and read and things and make the most of it. Hope you're all well and I'll talk to you soon.

Terri yeah I was kind of shocked myself when it came to The Voice and also kind of shocked at the saves tonight. It's crazy but htey all are so talented that its been kind of bittersweet you know. I was not shocked by the elmination on DWTS. I had a feeling they would both be bottom two and after dance off I feel the judges made the right choice. I don't think Gladys is that good tho but b/c who she is is why she is still around.....
Have you guys heard the 4 a.m. song Chris wrote? I actually like it and I think its interesting he got picked for this challenge. I bought it off itunes and also got Maroon 5's new single Phone Booth. I've been listening to a lot of new music lately and really enjoying it. I bought Cavos new cd the other day. But seeing that no matter what I get, I enjoy Daughtry's the most in my car. LOL have not listened in a couple days til today b/c I thought I'd give it one last listen before letting my friend borrow it but missed it too much and told her maybe on Thurs..is that mean? She needs to hear it and get a feel for it before the concert so it'll be hard without it but what are friends for? lol she'll have to give it back to me a week or two tho befor emy concert..haha

That's too bad. Blake seems to really like RaeLynn for some reason. I really don't have an overall favorite this season, no one has grabbed me. But there are several that I think are pretty good. Terri no much going on with my this weekend. Today just seems to be passing right before my eyes tho. I am trying to look for a job and just relaxing a bit. Tomorrow I work all day from 10-730. Hope it goes smoothly and fast and that people aren't too rude when I am there. I open and close b/c they needed me to cover one of Vals shifts and this was suggested so this time I am making sure I get every break I deserve. But than I have every other day off so can't complain too much.
You are just like me in liking both Adam and Blake personally and therefore their teams. Haha but no really they have talented people so that's why. I hope Cheesa goes soon enough. There is no way she is going to make it...at least in my eyes. And you're right about DWTS and how there is nobody hideous on the show this season. it's a first. lol

Last night I made a pizza and went to take a bite and cheese fell off and burned me really bad. It was the worst burn I've received and took almost 2 hrs for pain to stop. I had to hold an ice pack on it forever. Tried to catch a few bites here and there after 20 minutes or so and every time I'd take it away it'd start hurting in matter of seconds. It blistered but it doing better now.

I agree about The Voice. I like quite a few but don't have an overall fave just yet. I like Team Adam and Team Blake, because I like them both. lol I like Mathia, Jordis, Katrina, Tony, Juliet, and several others. I think the right people were picked to stay. But I don't care for Cheesa? On DWTS I like Katharine, Donald and William. I don't think anyone is just hideous though. What are you doing this weekend?

Yea I have access to internet again and get to use my own computer once again which means I get to type at my normal speed and not have to worry anymore!!

Terri I like Katherine too along with Maria, Donald and Jaleel. I think Roshon is a good dancer but his personality is a bit too much at times and annoys me. I think Maks and Melissa are okay.. it does seem like tough competition tho. I wasn't shocked with 2nites
The Voice is harder. I was so happy with th 4 that advanced on adams team and was happy he saved katrtina. it also made me smile tony lucca was saved esp since xtina was so bitter and that he obv did well. i don't like that cheesa was saved and why all the judges thought she should be. i dont like her, never have and never will. im excited for the weeks to come
Glad u had a nice easter. mine was okay but kind of uneventful. been staying at sistesr since fri and dalton is so cutr. u have to read him story every nite and when u leave he always says he has to tell u something and makes up own story, he was a bit sad tonight tho and i felt bad. think he just misses his mom and dad, its been 3 days but they come back 2mro nite

SHANNA~Hey there! Had a great Easter. Went to see my parents for the weekend. Had a great visit. The town is really coming along and so much progress has been made. Some things there are forever changed, but it's nice to see so many homes and businesses being rebuilt. My parent's house looks incredible. I love it!
I'm so happy for them!!

Terri the job hunt will go in full force when I get back home this week. We finally got internet and tv and phone but been at sisters so will enjoy it later. I am going to concentrate on medical and retail areas in shopping area by my house.

I am doing ok but skin is very irritated and doing awful. Its all on arms and hands and starting to move towards neck and belly. Maybe i should go to doctor... ugh.

it was a fund time! I got there just in time to get ready for the show. Had a blast with my Daughtry buddies saw guys by buses & went home. The show was amazing & the crowd was lively. In fact Chris said we were the loudest group of the tour. I lost my phone so now will have to get a new one. Time for a smart phone.

Did you watch DH? I REALLY hope Tom and Lynette get back together. It would be horrible for everyone to end up apart for the finale. I really don't like his new girlfriend. Gabby was hilarious!! I really like her and Carlos. I bet Bre ends up with her new lawyer. lol Keep us posted on how things are going.
Our AC went out yesterday. It's been so warm here. Yesterday it was 90 and today it's supposed to be 93/94. Is it already summer? lol Hoping the AC gets fixed today because it's so hot inside right now.

Hey girls, how are you? I am okay but still without internet. We originally had something but realized it was not a good deal so cancelled it before it started so hopefully by the end of next week I'll be able to have internet and tv and stay connected and on top of things in terms of finding a new job, staying on top of things for my certification, being in touch with friends and with Daughtry and everything.
Patty i am glad to hear you had such an amazing time at your Daughtry shows and it gets me even more excited about my upcoming show in seven and a half weeks. That is awesome they are growing so much and doing better with everything. I think its awesome you're going to try and make as much shows as possible.
Terri how are things going with you? I am okay just been kind of stressed and unhappy lately. I hope it changes soon and I am trying to see things in a new light and see what comes of me. Life is not always easy or sunny but there are also a lot of small things that make one smile or feel joy and love and thats what matters most. I am hoping to get back to working out changing my life and making a difference. And no mom has not heard anything different yet but I am sure she has other appointments coming up soon.

OMG both shows amazing this band has really grown from when I 1st saw them in 2007. They have become seasoned performers through & through and I am so exccited for you guys whn you get to witness it for yourselves.
