On august 29,2005, my family and I had to leave our home in New Orleans to evacuate for Hurricane Katrina. To our disbelief, as well as the rest of the world, our home was almost wiped of the face of the earth. We could not go back for months because of the flooding over 80% of the city. My sister and brother-in-law went back before we did because we drove up to Illinois.
